Yushinnoyu

I visited the hot spring for a bath and dinner after a trail run on Mount Kyogatake in the Tara Mountains. There was a menu offering a bath and set menu for 1,690 yen, so I chose it. This set menu only included a portion of the menu items priced under 1,000 yen, and I couldn't choose from the entire menu. I ordered the Motsuni set meal. It seems to be a seasonal menu that was recently introduced. It didn't contain much motsu, and the main ingredient was konnyuku, which was a bit disappointing. The Kyoho grape ice cream that came with the set was delicious. Incidentally, the hot spring was extremely crowded on a Saturday evening. The carbonated bath was popular and difficult to find. The water temperature was generally lukewarm, around 36.5-39 degrees Celsius. As a result, many people stayed in the bath for a long time. However, there was a spot where heated water was dispensed, and it was about 40-42 degrees Celsius, which was just right.

I've been here 4 or 5 times already! It gets busy at night and on weekends, making it difficult to relax. 💦 Plus, the interior is quite old, with noticeable stains in places... I love saunas and baths, so I'd love to go here again, but I have to choose the right timing. 💦 Also, 990 yen (weekend price) for this quality is a bit too much... I've been to a lot of hot springs, but this one was pretty good. It was the first night of the holidays, and at other hot springs it would be so crowded that you would have to wait to get washed, but here the people were spread out nicely and it was comfortable. The medicinal sauna in the women's bath wasn't too crowded, so you could relax and even do a self-loyly, which was great. Several customers even cleaned the changing rooms themselves with a vacuum cleaner, which was really nice. The ladies at the reception were always smiling and friendly, even though they were busy. I'd like to go again.

It's been quite a while since I last visited. They've made some significant changes since I last came. Prices are even higher during Obon. There's a sauna with a thermal therapist. And so on. The thermal therapists come at different times, so if you want to know their timings, it's best to check in advance. I was relieved to see that the carbonated water bath and beauty bath, which have always been there, were still there. I visited around 9pm, and the parking lot was 80% full, so it was very popular. It was the same as before, but I got the feeling that the clientele was slightly younger.

The receptionist, a brown-haired woman in her late 20s, and the male staff were extremely rude!! The woman was especially unfriendly and annoying. It's a shame considering it's the face of the establishment. I'd gone to great lengths to relax, but I left in a bad mood. Also, since it's especially busy on Sundays, the water is murky and the hair is dripping and dirty. I think they need to improve the flow. The showers are also terrible. The only good thing is the sauna - the hot spring is nice and slippery. But it's dirty. Also, it's small.
