Yuzawa Cold Spring (Yuzawa Reisen) Address: 630 Ohira, Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture Visited: January 28, 2023 Take the Yokokawa-Iwata Line past Ohira Rural Park, turn left, and head toward the Mase area. You'll see a "Yuzawa" signpost on the side of the road. This is the entrance to Yuzawa Cold Spring. The cold spring well is located a little further down the road. At the base of the well is a Jizo statue, and in front of it is a spring well about 1 meter in diameter. When I drew water, I could definitely smell the sulfur and felt the hot spring ingredients. I filled a plastic bottle with water and put it in my bath at home, and it gave me a bit of a hot spring experience. Apparently, hot spring enthusiasts bathe directly in this well, but that's not possible for the average person. The cold spring's temperature is said to be around 15°C.

Both the shrine and the spring are very deserted and smell of sulfur. It has a very spiritual atmosphere.
