Beombawi

Cheongsando Trekking: A rare trip to Cheongsando with a hiking club. Arrived at Wando Port around 5 AM. Had a meal at a nearby restaurant; while there are various menu options, meals usually cost around 10,000 won. After eating, waited and took the ferry to Cheongsando departing from Wando Port around 7 AM. Arrived at Cheongsando Port 50 minutes later, a village bus was waiting. The village bus fare is 1,000 won. After passing several stops, got off at Sangseo Village. Visited Maebongsan, Bojeoksan, Beombawi, Maltanbawi, the filming location of *Seopyeonje*, and the canola flower fields. Returned to Cheongsando Port, where the ferry to Wando usually departs in about an hour and a half to two and a half hours. There are also various other courses available!

It's really great. It's worth the effort. You can drive there, but the road is only wide enough for one car, so if you encounter a car coming from the opposite direction, new drivers might be a little confused. There are some places to avoid cars, but I was still a little anxious about encountering cars coming from the opposite direction. ㅠㅠ Still, it's worth the effort!! Beom Rock is amazing, and the scenery is amazing. If you go to Cheongsando, you must see Beom Rock.

Take the village bus and get off at Beombawi stop, go up to Beombawi, then go up to the observatory, take the road with rocking chairs on the right, go to Kalbawi, then go towards Janggimi Beach, and follow the luxury road on the top of the coastal cliff to Maltanbawi while looking at the ocean, and you will find a restaurant with a really good view on the rock where the former coastal outpost used to be.

Monday, October 2, 2023, 8:10-8:50 - This is the round-trip time from the entrance to Beombawi. - I encountered three cars on the way down, so I backed up three times. - The trail from the parking lot is a pleasant walk. - It's well-maintained and offers beautiful scenery. - I visited early in the morning, so there weren't many people, which was nice.

From Beombawi Rock on Dadohae Island (Cheongsando) in the South Sea, local guides introduce each of the small islands, one by one. They appear small in the sea fog: Geomundo Island, Baekdo Island, Hallasan Mountain on Jeju Island, and explanations of nearby islands. It's a visit you won't regret.
