The facilities aren't perfect, but they're not outdated either. The water is good (I started to understand why people say the water is good when you're over 40). It's a shame to just rush out. It's a place where you have to spend some time playing in the open-air bath and lazy river. The nearby noodle restaurant is also delicious.
It was great. There is a hot spring, a private family bath, and even watermelon. There are various restaurants right in front of the hot spring hotel. The hotel also has its own buffet restaurant, so breakfast is available. The water is good and the rooms are warm, making it a great place for a winter trip.
Maybe because there are so many people, the water quality isn't great and it's uncomfortable to wash in. The bath is large, but there are so many people that it's hard to soak in it. There are some food options nearby.
It's spacious, but I'm hesitant to go there with a toddler. You have to go down stairs to get to the women's bathhouse entrance, and they tell you to bring a towel before going into the bathhouse.
I'm thinking about going to a hot spring for the first time in a while. I haven't been there since the remodeling. I'm thinking about it tomorrow.

Primitive springs don’t come with towels. A quick-dry towel, water shoes, and a headlamp for the walk back all pack small.
