Deokgu Sulfur Hot Spring
Ah, I love it so much. I’ve been going there every time I visited Uljin since I was little. I remember being flustered when I was little because I kept feeling slippery while trying to wash off the soap lol. I wish people didn't know about places like this. It’s best when there are no people around... A secret sulfur hot spring known only to me and the locals of Uljin 😉 Everyone, go to Deokgu Hot Springs. That place is much more spacious~
I have visited quite a few places with signs saying "hot springs," such as Suanbo and Onyang, but Deokgu Hot Springs was the only place that truly felt like a proper hot spring. As you can see from the sign in the photo, the facilities are really old and small in scale, but the water seems to be among the best in the country. The water was good enough that I would want to come every week if I lived nearby.
I always use it when I go to my in-laws' house in Uljin. The water is much better than Deokgu Hot Springs, and the facilities are on par with a run-down neighborhood bathhouse, but I was satisfied with the low price. However, the fee recently increased to 6,000 won...
This is Deokgu Sulfur Hot Springs, said to have the best water in the country. This is the original Deokgu Hot Springs... Outsiders often don't know about it, so they go to the hot springs at the Deokgu Hotel. But try it. You'll love it. The water is so good.
The water is incredibly nice, leaving my skin smooth and silky after bathing. I've even heard that it used to cure skin conditions. The staff were friendly, and I'm very satisfied with the family bath.
