For those traveling to Jeju on Scoot from Singapore, here’s a great hack. The red eye flight lands at 7.25am and you cannot check in your hotel until 3pm without incurring additional room charges. You are tired and unkempt from the ordeal. This is the place to go. This is a Jjimjilbang or Korean bathhouse. Here you can take a shower, brush your teeth, shave, (bring your own toiletries or you can also buy from them a low cost) relax in a hot pool, freeze in a cold pool, sweat out in a sauna and repeat again. As long as you like. There is an uncle who will use a towel to scrub your back until it is totally exfoliated. I understand stand that the ladies section has the exact same services and facilities. After showering, put in the t-shirt and shorts provided and then proceed to the 3rd floor. Grab a mattress and pillow and sleep. As long as you wish. The place is open 24 hours and charges 13000 won per pax including locker fees. When you are ready to leave, just go back down to the 2 floor and change (or shower again). Proceed to 1 floor to collect your shoes and off you go. Fully recharged, fresh and clean. Place has its own parking so for those driving, it’s a breeze to visit and enjoy Korean bathhouse. Quite an experience. Sorry there are many photos due to privacy reasons. You just have to trust me on this one.

Our first time visiting a jimjilbang. The visit was purely driven by the k-dramas. For a first timer, it can be quite confusing to what we could do at this spa place. We were not sure what to do after we changed and where to go. But we managed to get our bearings right after making a lot of guesses and observing the regular patrons. We spent about 2 hours in this place as there's not a lot to do. People come here to chill and eat. So besides chilling, we ate. We got the sikhe, egg and had some ramens. I got conned by this automated drink machine where the drink I had ordered was actually out of order and it only dispensed water. I did not know what to do or who to complain to. It was just an experience we wanted to try. Probably not gonna return :)

This place is not friendly towards foreign visitors. The lady at the food ordering counter was extremely rude towards foreigners. She talked nicely towards those who speaks Korean. But if you do not speak Korean, please think twice before visiting. I tried using the translation app to communicate with her but was being talked down in a rude tone and being frowned upon. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

A public bathhouse, most customers are local Koreans. The staff is nice, although she could not speak English. You can borrow everything needed in the reception. There are sleeping pods and a self service area where you can cook instant noddles. There are vendor machines. A good place to go after getting off planes too early.

They weren't friendly, but I went anyway because I had to take the kids to the airport. The sauna facilities were clean. The restaurant in the jjimjilbang opens at 5 PM, and the food was surprisingly delicious.
