This museum exhibits historical artifacts related to Goryeo celadon, but the focus is not on the eye-popping treasures, but rather on the history of celadon. There are also many artisan shops in the area, making it a great place to visit to find pieces for gifts or personal collections. The Goryeo Celadon Festival, held in late February and early March, is well-planned and makes for a great family outing.

A beautiful little museum of Celadon pottery that gives a history of this famous ceramic technique, the original of which is now lost to time. There is a wonderful gift shop with excellent pieces made by local craftspeople. There is also a digital museum for the kids and an outdoor area with a cafe. A very peaceful way to spend 1-2 hours.

There is joy much to see and there is almost no English, to me it was kind of a disappointment. However, what they have is beautiful and the location is beautiful as well.

Celadon “a gray-green glaze used on pottery”. If you like pottery, you can see a beautiful display of celadon wares from 9th to 15th centuries.

My two favorite things about this place: clean restroom and drinking water purifier/fountain
