Gokseong Seomjin train village
Modern B&B rooms in converted rail cars with terraces overlooking a rail bike & steam train track.
It's a nice area where families, couples, singles, and everyone can enjoy. The Rose Festival takes place in the area and is super beautiful. There is also a mini amusement park and a mini-zoo inside the village. People can also ride a bike on the train tracks to get a small loop of the village. If biking doesn't do it, there is a train that runs every hour around the whole village.
This place is definitely not ready for international tourism. No brochures or even posted instructions in English. We had such a hard time. Don’t go here if you can’t speak or read Korean. Place is nice and people are helpful but those don’t change anything if you can’t do any activities except take photos coz no one can help you out even if they want to.
This is very nice place to bring your kids. For adult 5000 krw and kids 4500. You can get 2000 coupon amount for each ticket. And you can spend the coupon to inside snack shop. Initially inside having flower garden. After You can reach the amusement park.
Everything you need for a great day out! Lots for the kids and enough stuff to keep parents relaxed. The majority of the activities are outside but there are a few inside. We've visited in the rain and found something to do there.
My son (4) and I looooove this place. You can get to it easily from the actual train line and there are lots of various things to do for kids. The rose festival in late spring is also absolutely beautiful!
