Golden Hot Spring

The best spa I've visited in Seoul (so far). They have many different baths, some hot, some cold and some with bubbles. They also have saunas with degrees ranging from 40C to 85C. Since you are provided clothes upon payment and you are naked in the spa area you don't need to bring anything at all if you want to sleep there, except for maybe a toothbrush (which you can buy at the entrance). As usual in Korean spas women and men each have their own spa facilities but there is a common area where you can sleep together, watch TV or get a massage. They have sleeping facilities with hard cushions, thin blankets and Korean style mattresses.

Dirty pool without proper amenities like shampoo, conditioner & body foam. Gotta buy all of these at between 500-700 yen each apart from the entrance fee of 12,000 won for entry btw 9pm to 6am. There's a single type of liquid soap provided though. Staff does not converse in English. No chairs provided at the make up / hair drying area. All combs are shared, not disinfected, no cotton pads, cotton buds. Only hair dryer, shared combs, facial toner and facial emulsion provided.

Second Jimjilbang I've been to. Itaewon land is the other (Itaweon land has a separate floor for sleeping). The showers, lockers and facilities are really nice just don't expect a good rest. The lockers are very close to the rooms where you sleep. So people talk and laugh at 2am with no real consideration for others. There were quiet times but it wasn't a great overall experience. Expect hardish pillows and sleeping mats like you usually find.

I rested well there. I hope to go there again soon, awesome springs and a nice hot room? It felt like a slow cooker~ like it's warm but it gets its job done.
