Gosu Cave

Gosu Cave, Danyang — definitely a memorable experience! It’s a challenging cave to explore, with steep and narrow steps throughout, plus a spiral staircase that really tests your stamina. The climb can be quite demanding, so it may not be suitable for those who are not physically fit or who have mobility concerns. The good thing is that the entrance fee includes grip gloves, which are very helpful when holding onto the bars and railings to prevent slipping — a thoughtful safety feature. Overall, a unique and adventurous attraction with impressive cave formations. Tough but enjoyable if you’re up for a physical challenge!

I visited Gosu Cave in early February during a very cold winter. While the experience was unique, it didn't quite meet all my expectations, so I'm giving it 4 stars. A quick tip for winter travelers: the entrance is freezing, but once you get inside, it becomes surprisingly hot and humid. I was actually sweating by the end! I’d recommend wearing layers that are easy to take off. It’s a bit of a workout with all the stairs, but definitely a sight to see if you are in Danyang.

Definitely worth the visit! The cave is so unique, and it's kind of an easy hike inside the cave. Although, it's quite wet, dark and cold. I suggest to bring more clothing in the summer as it is 15 degrees inside the cave. I don't recommend for young children or elderly as it can be slightly dangerous. The views are spectacular though! If I could read korean I would learn way more!

Awesome cave; but not for the larger stomached. Your average large American would have difficulty traversing through some places. The path is really well made (all aluminum walkways welded in place) and the interesting parts of the cave are beautifully lit. The walk is about 1.7 km and takes less than an hour. I would highly recommend this destination

Beautiful stalactites and stalagmites! Visitors can expect to see various limestone formations, underground lakes, and unique geological features. Guided tours are often available, and there are informational displays throughout the cave to help visitors learn about its geological and historical significance.
