I visited because they said the water was good. It seemed like the water was good, but I kept wondering if it was really good water in such an outdated facility. The moldy white towels reeked of bleach. The men's bath was in the basement, and so was the outdoor bath. There was yellow moss and mold on the ceiling of the outdoor bath. Steam condensed and fell back into the bath. I wondered if this place was really clean. I spoke to the bath attendant about washing, and he spoke rudely and irritably, saying he only accepted cash. I offered to pay by bank transfer, but he said he didn't accept bank transfers. He grumbled, saying he was too busy and that it was the last time, so he'd just do it this once. My girlfriend, who went with me, said the moldy smell in the women's bath was too strong.

This is an old hot spring in Ildong. Since it's mainly visited by locals, it's not as organized as Japanese onsens. It's more like a traditional Korean bathhouse, relatively spacious with an outdoor bath, making it a great spot to enjoy a quick soak. Pocheon is well-known for its mountains, valleys, and camping activities, so stopping by here for a bath on your way home after such activities is ideal. Although the facilities are a bit dated, there's a charm to the place that comes with its age. By the way, I didn't stay at their accommodation and I don't think it's necessary.

I heard there was a sulfur hot spring on the way, so I went in for a quick dip. The water was really good. It reminded me of my trip to a Japanese hot spring. There was a sulfur smell, but it wasn't bad. It's a shame the facilities are outdated because it's in the countryside, but I'm satisfied with the water quality. I'll definitely be back.
