찜질스파 Jjimjil Spa

The receptionist was polite, attentive, and professional, and the spa facilities were exceptionally clean and well maintained. This initially gave me the impression of a jjimjilbang with a refined, luxurious touch. Unfortunately, I experienced a deeply unacceptable incident with a staff member — the cleaner, Ms. Jok San. The signage to the shower facilities directs patrons toward the jacuzzi area, and naturally, I followed this signage, fully clothed, with the sole intention of orienting myself and anticipating where I would shower after the jjimjilbang. The area was entirely empty at the time. I was inside for no more than 15 seconds before leaving. Despite this, I was aggressively confronted by Ms. Jok San, who shouted loudly in Korean — a language I do not understand — even after I calmly explained in English that I was simply trying to locate the showers. At no point was I in breach of usage (I did not enter the water, nor remain in the wet area). Nevertheless, she persisted in berating me, escalated her tone, and even went so far as to attempt to take my phone away. Only when I asked her to accompany me to the reception desk and relayed the situation in front of the receptionist did her tone and manner abruptly shift. She attempted to justify her behavior by citing an unrelated incident that allegedly happened the day before, where another individual entered the jacuzzi clothed. That prior incident, however, in no way excuses the inappropriate shouting, hostility, and lack of courtesy I experienced. As a paying customer, I have every reasonable expectation of respect, clear communication, and professional treatment. It is wholly improper to subject any guest to public humiliation, raised voices in a language they cannot understand, or unnecessary confrontation. The signage itself directs customers in this way, and any clarification should have been delivered courteously, not through shouting. This incident was unprovoked, unjustifiable, and left a highly negative impression. I urge the management to review this staff member’s conduct seriously, as it falls far below the standards of professionalism and respect expected in a service setting, let alone a paid wellness establishment.

Lovely spa with gender separated normal temp jacuzzi, hot and cold bath as well as sauna and very hot steam room. Then in the communal bit where you wear the pyjamas they give you there is salt, ice, clay and comfortable wooden room with outside bit having heated floor you can lie on. For any other foreigners who arent sure what to do you are naked for the bath area and it is expected you shower before using any facilities and then go back through changing room to put pyjamas on to go back out to the communal bit. It was a really relaxing way to spend a few hours (once I figured out what to do!) When we went during the day we almost had it to ourselves. It is located on the 6th floor of the grand hyatt hotel. There are restaurants on the 3rd floor. There was only free water, no food when we went to the spa so i was glad we ate first. Would recommend and go again if i had time

I’ve gone twice. I’d love to give this a 5 star because the spa itself is absolutely amazing. However there doesn’t seem to be any rules on sound. It’s really annoying when you’re trying to relax in the common areas and people are having full loud conversations like they’re at the spa getting their hair done. I can deal with whispering conversations, but normal loud obnoxious conversations just kills the relax vibe.

The place is quite fancy and the service is good but to be honest it’s quite small and there’s not that many saunas or bath considering the price you pay. The little snack bar was also closed when we went so there wasn’t much to hang around for. It’s also really hot outside of the saunas so it’s difficult to find a place to cool down and relax

This spa is located on the 6th floor of the Grand Hyatt hotel. The spa is very clean and cozy. Small but just the right space as long as it’s not full of people. There is a snack bar but mostly just drinks. Good price for what you get especially because they use luxurious products for bathing.
