The bathhouse industry is one of the sectors that has struggled since COVID-19. With many nearby bathhouses disappearing, I find myself frequenting Seongdang-dong. There are three bathhouses in Seongdang-dong: Nakwon Spa, Geumyong Sauna, and Dowon-tang. Dowon-tang is a small-scale neighborhood bathhouse, while Geumyong and Nakwon are slightly larger than typical neighborhood bathhouses, with Nakwon being the larger of the three. The men's bath is on the second floor, featuring three pools clustered in the center—a warm bath, a hot bath, and another hot bath—along with a cold bath and a massage pool. Next to these are three sauna rooms, including a red clay sauna and a wet sauna. The water temperature is high, and the place looks clean. The facilities are a bit dated, though. The parking lot is adequately equipped, albeit not perfect.

The water was too dirty, and even though they said it closes at 11, cleaning staff came in at 9:55, drained all the water, and left the sauna doors wide open. I will never go back. The water smelled, and the kids played like it was a swimming pool; it was too noisy.

A women-only underground jjimjilbang and clean baths, spacious and comfortable facilities are rare in Daegu.

The atmosphere is like a deserted house. It closes at 10:30 PM.
