It is a very pleasant and beautiful place with well-managed capacity. It's a must-see place if you come to Chuncheon. Chuncheon is no longer just a place to eat spicy stir-fried chicken or visit an arboretum, but a place to go to a traditional Korean house for steaming in Seoul. It is a true place of healing where you can enjoy the beauty of a Hanok and the health benefits of steaming simultaneously. It is a place where waiting or making a reservation in advance is absolutely worth it. With its capacity well-controlled, it is a very comfortable and beautiful place. It is a place you absolutely must visit if you come to Chuncheon. Chuncheon is no longer just a place to eat Dakgalbi or visit an arboretum; it is a place to go for Hanok steaming. It is well worth the 1.5-hour drive from Seoul. I want to visit again and again throughout all four seasons...

I just visited the Namuhyangji steam room. I had to make a reservation, but luckily, there were people who canceled. I arrived at 11:30 and went into the steam room, but I couldn't even last three seconds and was out. It's truly a steam room that doesn't get cold. I wrapped myself in three layers of clothing, but I was out immediately. I recommend going after 1:00. It seems to be a good place then. The steam room was nice, but the outdoor space was amazing. I spent five to ten minutes in the steam room and then went outside to have a quiet conversation and heal myself. I think I'll think about it again sometime. It's even better on a rainy day. However, the on-the-spot payment system is a bit inconvenient. The seaweed soup was a bit too salty.

They operate with reservations and walk-in service. You should arrive by 10:30 a.m. to get in line. (If it's crowded by 11 a.m., you won't be able to get in.) You can reserve tickets online through Naver, but they sell out like concert tickets. It's been a while since I've been to a steam room, and it was great. If you're new to steam rooms, it's very hot in the morning, so I recommend going in the afternoon if possible (walk-in admission is not allowed in the afternoon, so reservations are mandatory). There's not much to do, so I recommend bringing a book or something. It's a good place to stop by after a trip to Chuncheon. Next time, I plan to reserve a ticket in advance and then make a quick trip to Chuncheon on that date.

While trekking around Uiam Lake, I searched for a nearby sauna, and the images looked good, so I called. They said there would be a spot open in about 30 minutes, so I made sure to arrive promptly. There's no bath (a bit disappointing), but you can shower, change into a jjimjilbok, and then experience the steam room and hanok (traditional Korean house). The charming hanok building offers plenty of photo opportunities, so the majority of visitors were young couples and groups of female friends. The atmosphere was a bit awkward for a man in his 40s to go alone and unwind.

I really love it. It’s an elegant traditional Hanok, so I appreciate the wood. Moreover, the main hall, the pavilion, and the stone wall pond are so pretty. The price of 10,000 won for 3 hours seems good, and the staff are friendly as well. The sauna was also excellent. The only downsides are that parking is a bit inconvenient, and what I disliked most is that they only provide two towels. It was really inconvenient having to use one towel for sweating in the sauna and then rely on just one small towel after showering, so I deducted one star.
