온천포항건강랜드
After attending the Pohang International Fireworks Festival, I visited for the first time on Saturday, June 1, 2024, for lodging. I paid the adult nightly rate of 15,000 won. Given its size, it's a leading jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) in Pohang, along with Paradise Sulfur Springs. Perhaps because the festival had just ended, there were a lot of visitors, but the facility's size allowed for a comfortable stay. Because it's located a bit outside the city center, most guests arrived by car. The facility itself wasn't particularly comfortable, but it was average. The public sleeping area includes a jjimjilbang, a children's playroom, and a restaurant. I'm not sure if the owner is the same, but there's also a golf course next door. Given the size of the facility, there's a sign at the entrance that reads, "No drunkards or tattooed people allowed," perhaps to discourage a variety of patrons. I found it quite appealing.
Wow!! Wow! ^^ The spacious lounge area is clean and the water is great. It was well-cleaned. The bathroom is small compared to the size of the large building and the jjimjilbang, and there are only four pools, including a cold one. However, the water is really good. While the bathroom is a bit disappointing, the jjimjilbang and lounge area are spacious and nice, so I highly recommend it. There's also a children's area with a playground and a lottery ticket booth. It's great.
Stayed at Oncheon Pohang Health Land and had a great experience. There’s a sauna and a hot spring bath with nice, relaxing water. The place is affordable and you can even spend the night. They sell simple food like ramen, boiled eggs, and more. The hot spring was very enjoyable, and the sauna felt quite hot for me as it was my first time, but it was refreshing. Also tried the massage chairs, which were a nice touch. Overall, a well-spent and relaxing time here.
The hot spring facilities are decent for the price. It costs 7,500 won if you use the sauna as well (5,500 won if you only use the sauna). Repeating the cycle of sweating in the sauna and cooling down with a cold compress gives you the feeling that toxins are being flushed out. It is also nice to enjoy the view from the rooftop garden.
The water isn't particularly good, and it's just a small bathhouse, roughly the size of a neighborhood residential area. There's no room to stretch your legs. And yet, because it's shared with members of jjimjilbangs and sports centers, it's incredibly crowded and chaotic. It's not a place you'd want to travel far to bathe in.
