Onsugol Public Bath (Jjimjilbang)

I give this Spa/Jimjilbang an overall ranking 4 stars because if it’s accommodations, variety of pools, saunas, restaurants and sleeping areas. The spa entrance/billing area is on the 4th floor while the men’s entrance is on the 5th floor. The price was 9,000 for everything. Parking should not be a problem the building is shared with many other businesses and has a large parking garage but only fits 2.3 meters height. The men’s shower has many pools I think 8 in total. They are very large and that is because I think the spa gets lots of traffic. I came on a Saturday at 0930 and it had a lot of people. There is an outdoor area with a hot and cold pool. Through it was crowded there was plenty of room, and many areas if you want to sit in front of jets on your body. The water temps we’re comfortable but not hot or to cold. The water overall seemed fine but the shower area overall good use a good cleaning, but it’s not to bad. One of the better features is the amount of heated areas set aside to lay down, sleep or relax. The common area is two floors. They are very large with a lot of open space. I did not see any private rooms or spaces it is very open but still relatively quiet. Both floors have places to get food, the upper part has a full restaurant. The saunas are hot, and the cold room is cold. Very nice! I recommend visiting this spa but keep in mind this is a very public spa and it has that feel so if you are looking for a quiet small spa to relax in this may have a few challenges but it’s still very nice to just hang out at and enjoy your day. In the men's area there are 7 hot baths, including 1 outside, 3 cold baths, including one outside, a cold-water basin for filling buckets, 56 standing showers, 70 sit-down showers, 4 saunas, a red-light resting room, a body-scrub area (for $), a barbershop (for $), a reclining chair area, another sitting area, and a grooming area with body lotion and unlimited towels. In the common lounges there are 6 hot saunas, 1 ice room, several sitting/lying areas, 1 reclining chair area, a massage area (for $), a cafeteria (for $), and a snack bar (for $). I felt like a kid at an amusement park. The people are super-friendly too.

I saw an Instagram ad and it looked good, so I went, but it's just a bigger bathhouse than your average bathhouse. It's literally a "big bathhouse"—nothing special. The water didn't feel good, and the jjimjilbang didn't feel particularly good. It was just average. In fact, if it's going to be crowded, I'd say it's better to go to a local bathhouse.

The hot springs are large and well-equipped. It's clean and makes me want to come back again. The baths are much better than the steam rooms. There are five saunas inside the baths. There's also a space for aqua walking and a massage area.

My go-to place for relaxing the body and recharging energy. It is very spacious and has a seasoned masseur in the women's bath. I've tried scrubbing several times and was good, too.
