Onyang Hot Spring is the oldest hot spring on record in Korea, and has been called Onyang ever since King Sejong renamed it Onyang County when he traveled to Onyang in 1442. After King Sejong went on a trip to treat eye diseases, several kings, including Hyeonjong, Sukjong, Yeongjo and Jeongjo, built their own palaces here and stayed for recreation or treatment of diseases. Unlike other hot springs, Onyang hot springs are particularly exclusive to Joseon's royal family.Onyang Hot Springs has been a popular hot spring resort for ancestors throughout its long history, and it is a historic place with many historical sites related to it.

They put up a sign claiming a 40-year tradition... I don't know if they claim it's because the water is good... but the facilities are outdated now, and since it's just a small neighborhood bathhouse with only one hot tub and one cold tub, I don't think I will go out of my way to visit again.

It's cheap, affordable, and offers a sense of local community. You can also enjoy shopping at the traditional market after your bath. Parking is convenient, and the facilities are modest, so not many people visit, which is actually a plus.

Yeah, the only thing that's a bit disappointing is that I had to wait (it could be because the house was late), but the facilities are nice and it was cool and clean when I went in and out. ㅇ.ㅇ Anyway, I hope your business is doing well^^

An old Japanese-style hot spring. The interior looks like it's about to collapse. A musty smell permeates the room as you pass by. I hope they fix it up a bit.
