Supsok Hanbang Land

I’ve lived in Korea for nearly 15 years and have visited countless saunas and jjimjilbangs, so I usually appreciate older, more traditional facilities, but unfortunately 숲속한방랜드 just didn’t hold up for me. On the positive side, it does have a rustic, old-style charm. If you’re looking for something that feels more traditional and low-key rather than fancy and modern, the atmosphere fits that description. However, the space and facilities don’t really match the number of people the place tries to accommodate. There are only three hot rooms, and all of them are quite small. If there are around 30 people trying to use them at once, maybe 10–15 people can actually sit inside, and that’s only if everyone is crammed together. It stops being relaxing pretty quickly. They also have an area where you can cook your own sweet potatoes, which sounds fun in theory. In reality, you’re sharing one of only three grills with what feels like a hundred other people. If you don’t stand there watching your potato the entire time, it’ll either get moved off the fire or someone else will take it. So your choices are: hover over it for 40 minutes… or just give up and skip it. The biggest disappointment for me was the hair-drying policy. Women have to pay to use the hair dryer, with coins, while men can use theirs for free. It’s 2026; who’s walking around with a pocket full of coins? I even brought my own hair dryer and a straightener, but they wouldn’t allow me to use either because nothing is allowed to be plugged in. So I ended up leaving in –10°C weather with wet hair. That alone was enough to make me decide I won’t be returning. If you really want to try this place, my advice would be to go when it’s not busy and bring plenty of coins so you can dry your hair. Otherwise, I’d suggest choosing another jjimjilbang — there are plenty of better-run options out there. I won’t be back.

Our korean friend recommended to visit this sauna to immerse into korean Jjimjilbang. Not a touristic one that always recommended by Google search, but into the real one, for an ordinary Seoul citizens. It was a brilliant deep dive into korean culture! There was some english -language signs on walls, and the nice lady on reception desk know some english words. However, we was amazed by hospitality of korean to non-korean speaking "snowflakes"... All ladies help me! Moreover, a fantastic korean gentleman show my husband were to grab amenities for saunas and how to visit dry sauna in the right traditional way. We spent here almost 4 hours, till closing at 9 p.m for dry sauna and 10 p.m. for whole building. And this is not enough! You can find in the common area for mens and womens 3 dry traditional saunas, one hot sauna, one ice room, open air space to sleep, restaurant, small shop to buy potato or something else for cooking on coal grill.. In the shower area you can find 2 hot tub, 1 cold pool and 2 saunas, like Finnish one. In a nutshell, it is a really breathtaking experience for enjoying bath korean culture!

Check out all rooms on all levels (except opposite sex floor- not allowed) - Saunas, steam room, pools of different temperatures from 44C to 18C, can get a personal scrub service for extra charge, traditional Korean sauna with open charcoal fire, indoor warm BBQ area, outdoor area, sleeping area, super-hot cave areas, and for women-only a warm pebble area to lie on and relax.

Traditional Korean Jim-Jill-Bang They have -Ice room 🥶 -Sauna 121oc -Snack bar -Nail bar -Hairdressers -Salt room (ladies only) - 4 furnace/mud huts 🛖 of varying temperatures- the hottest one was burning my eyes, face and back after just 20 seconds even with a towel over my face - the hottest one I have ever experienced 🥵 on my travels ! - Even cooked a baked potato 🥔 on the fire pit 😁 15,000Won each but not 24hrs anymore after covid !

A bit overrated place. Let me explain. If you go there to experience 찜질방, you will have a great one if you like old school way 😂. The common aera, especially the basement has looked like no upgrade since 1950 ! You will enjoy hot rooms heat with firewood, charcoal and industrial mood. On the other hand, 목욕탕 space is very regular, not very attractive. 15000₩/pers is too much expensive when you already try this kind of establishment.
