Point Mallard Park
Sprawling city park with golf, a huge wave pool, an ice rink & other outdoor activities.
This was the 1st time I went to the Hot Air Balloon Jubilee Festival! It was absolutely amazing. The balloons were spectacular.. There were thousands of people there, and everyone was enjoying the festivities.. Families brought their children, parents, and pet's.. Everyone was laughing, singing, dancing! There were all different kinds of food vendors, vendors selling souvenirs.. It was amazing watching the balloons air up, and some were riding people. Some were flying up and around.. There was no one trying to take the fun out of the day! It was honestly the best time I'd had in a long time! There was no violence of any kind, thank goodness. These days and times, the way people want to go around shooting in crowds and killing innocent people it almost makes you scared to go anywhere anymore! I'm so thankful and happy the whole Memorial weekend was awesome! We only went on Saturday but it was absolutely wonderful, we spent just about all day and enjoyed every moment of it... It was my boyfriend and I with our precious puppy, and we all loved it ❤️ I'm already looking forward to next year!! God bless and thanks for such a wonderful day 🙏
Great family campground although we are 2 senior citizens who just stopped for the night. We enjoyed hearing the kids play. It seems a very happy place. It's a really large campground that's well maintained. Easy to get to from the highway with our 40' motorhome towing a car. I would like to suggest exit signs in the campground because there are none. We were in site 18, a definite path to the playground. Why not take out one of those sites & make a fun pathway to the playground for the kids & parents, instead of walking through occupied sites. We would definitely stay here again.
I've been going to Point Mallard since the 90's and I've always had a good time. If you're not a people person then I suggest you go on a weekday and the earlier you get there the better. Food can be a little on the expensive side but you're given a wrist band when you enter that allows you to leave and get back in. So you can bring lunch if money is tight. Anyway it's a great place to spend the day, bring the family, a love interest, your best friends, or come solo... It's gonna be a fun day regardless. Just don't forget the sun block :)
The park itself is nice. Often times there are too many people inside at once which leads to a large pool that has zero room. The lifeguards blow whistles every 2 mins with little to no direction. They had to jump in to save someone today all because they allowed too many people to jump off diving board at one time and the person had to wait in deep end while others were using same ladder. If you catch it on a slower day it’s great. Bring water shoes. The walk to rides is brutal on feet in the heat.
Great value for the water park if you buy a season pass and cup at the beginning of the year. Water park has plenty of attractions for all ages and all day fun. The festivals at Memorial Day and July 4th are great with hot air balloons, fireworks, car shows and more.

Make a day of it — a quick-dry towel, dry bag, and post-soak layers take almost no pack space.
