A Place Where Natural Beauty Has Been Ruined The thermal lake is a natural wonder that could be considered the symbol of this place, a magnificent landscape worthy of admiration. The warm water and tranquil atmosphere offer a truly unique and memorable experience. The dog sledding park and the friendly and reliable staff at the activity center and hotel reception are also among the few redeeming features of this place. However, unfortunately, there are no other positive points, and the resort as a whole is in a completely different, disappointing state. The other facilities and services are, to put it mildly, terrible. The restaurant and its staff, in particular, are unprofessional and rude, and despite the high prices, they fail to even meet basic expectations. The entire facility, especially the aquatic center, is in urgent need of repair and modernization. The changing rooms and showers near the thermal lake appear to have been left untouched since the 1970s, giving a strong impression of neglect and dilapidation. The management of this resort seems indifferent to its condition, with haphazardly placed buildings and randomly scattered monuments creating a chaotic structure. This indifference and negligence provides visitors with an unpleasant and inefficient experience. This resort primarily caters to corporate voucher holders, leaving other visitors with little choice but to accept low-quality service and facilities. The positive aspects are as follows: • A well-maintained and enjoyable dog sledding park. • A stunningly beautiful thermal lake. • Friendly activity center staff (though the center itself is poorly designed and operated). • Polite and helpful hotel reception staff (though the reception area itself is unimpressive). The rest is simply terrible: • A restaurant and its staff completely lacking in quality and expertise. • All facilities, especially the old and unpleasant aquatic center. We did not have the opportunity to evaluate the following activities: • Snowmobile tours. • Cross-country skiing. • Aurora borealis tours. In conclusion, while the natural beauty of this place is commendable, the overall experience is ruined by poor management, inefficient operations, and a lack of investment in customer satisfaction. With proper management and improvements, this place has the potential to be wonderful, but as it stands, it's a very disappointing experience.

I've been here in the summer and winter and it was so refreshing! The water is super warm and there are definitely some hot spots so be careful! Drink lots of water and make sure you don't accidentally cook yourself, I got out and was a little dizzy, but I was in there for 2 hours so probably overstayed my welcome.

I went a few years ago and it was cool but I got athletes foot. So make sure you wear flip flops or sandals. Their website looks pretty good, I think it was vibe coded with Claude but I really like it.

Chena Hot Springs' open-air bath. Swimsuits are required. Open until 12 noon. Towels are available for free if you stay at the hotel. It's a standing bath style.
