With Westgate, Tanger Outlets, Top Golf, Cabelas, Desert Diamond, State Farm Stadium and now this, Glendale is on a roll. Tempe gets a hockey team that would sell more tickets if they moved to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Added May 2025 It has been disappointing how slow progress on the VAI Resort has been on the one hand, while it is exciting to see an Orlando/Vegas style resort come to the valley. Most other valley resorts, although fine 4 and 5 star resorts, they are stodgy golf focused facilities. With tons of shopping at Tanger and Westgate, a casino nearby, and sports and entertainment at Desert Diamond Arena and State Farm Stadium, Glendale has the potential to draw visitors away from not only from Scottsdale, but also Las Vegas.
Wow! We live right around the corner and didn't even realize that this place wasn't even opened yet! The rooms were so fresh and spacious that we just spent our down time resting and enjoying the view of the beautiful Arizona Sunset scenery through the soon to be window that was wrapped with a protective plastic lining drop cover that kept the freshness of the newly spackled ceiling that had just been applied earlier that day! Later, We were sliding down what we thought was a water slide and it turned out that it was the concrete chute perfectly placed to pour the actual concrete for the soon to be incredible water slide! Amazing! Get ready my fellow Phoenicians, This place is and will be absolutely incredible... some day!
Not open yet but I think it will be great for the area. I do think that the investors choose a great location next to Westgate and where the Cardinals play. It will be another good option for tourists coming to the Valley and should provide reasons for folks from CA or Vegas (and around the country) to visit throughout the year. It will also be a place that locals can go visit for entertainment. Even though they have faced hurdles along the way I think they will ultimately get through them and it will be worth the wait and effort for those that made this happen.
Night life and day life are going to be top tier. They picked the best staff in the business to operate this masterpiece of a property. All the people complaining of it not being open for the superbowl can go kick rocks. They’re going to have A list performances from all the best performers that sell out arenas around the world. Wait and see naysayers. This place is legit.
