Mono Hot Springs
Beautiful long drive out through the Sierra National Forest to get to Mono Hot springs. They have several pools for soaking up the minerals, a few are mud pools which made my skin so soft. Reasonably priced for the whole day. They have clean bathrooms, a restaurant and a general store to get anything while you visit or the long drive back.
A few nature hot spring pools along beautiful creek. Some people play cold water in the creek, and then bath in the warm hot springs. Parking is quite limit. There is one lane rough road for 8 miles on the way to Mono Hot Springs. It was quite dangerous while encounter other vehicles. I won't go again unless the rough road is flatter.
An amazing experience!
Make a day of it — a quick-dry towel, dry bag, and post-soak layers take almost no pack space.
