North Hollywood Spa

Been going quite regularly to this sauna and I have a few impressions to share: Staff is great in general, and I understand when they are a bit standoff-ish or come across as rude; I've been to several saunas in different parts of the world and this is the norm, mostly because clients can get rowdy, there's a lot of people trying to get in with drugs or alcohol (PnP), or break stuff, and the place can be short-staffed at some points of the day (Like Thursday or Sunday afternoon, Friday and Saturday evenings) and they deal with clients that feel entitled to everything. Not everyone is like that, but I understand why you truly don't mess around with staff. Be polite, be understanding, and enjoy. Clientele is pretty diverse, sometimes there are twinks, daddies, regular guys, and yes, older guys too. Get over it. It's random but I always found a way to keep it fun. The staff usually helps manage the crazies that appear from time to time, mostly people that can't follow basic rules. But what I like the most about this sauna is it's personality (especially compared to the other sauna in LA). I think that the owner(s) truly loves this place; the posters at the entrance (that change every month or so), the design language used, the little signs everywhere. I want to mention specially the terrace, where I spend a lot of my time when I go. It's comfortable, full of plants, with misters for when it's too hot (and it's also the smoking area). Does the place need some renovation? Sure, but from what I've seen in the saunas post-pandemic, they are still trying to recover from that. Go to FlexLA and see what I mean. Here's a few unsolicited tips: - BRING AN ID, not a photocopy, not a receipt. This is *required* - Behave! this is not the place to get high/drunk and not get consequences; they are serious about this, I think this can get them shut down. - Don't mess with the staff, remember they are the ones wiping your crusty fluids from the playing areas. Tip them on the way out if you can! - Bring flip-flops, or buy them when getting in. Trust me on this one. Have a great time, play safe!

I am standing in front of the door in awe about how poorly I was treated by the on duty cashier. The way I was just treated was appalling. The cashier told me when I went to pay that they were closing at 6 AM. I was fine with that. However, he did not tell me that my membership had expired, therefore being $35 instead of $25 until after he had run my card. I asked him, and he just shrugged his shoulders. I went upstairs, and just got angrier and angrier as I thought about it. While I did not mind that there were not a lot of people, the unfriendliness and lack of courtesy from the cashier really upset me. I came down and asked him why he did not tell me that my membership had expired and it was going to be $35 instead of $25 for a locker, and his response was, it’s not his responsibility to tell me. I’m at the signs are posted. I asked him why he didn’t say anything, and he was so nasty and had the worst disposition. And I left immediately, after less than 10 minutes there, because I was so furious at this man’s behavior. And he was putting it on me like it was my fault. I asked for the managers name, in which he gave me “Ernesto.“ I am going to take this to the Better Business Bureau and the LGBT center, because this is no way to treat a customer.

My recent visit to North Hollywood Spa left me feeling disappointed and disgruntled. The overall experience fell short of expectations on multiple levels. Unprofessional and Rude Staff.Right from the start, the staff's demeanor was off-putting. The receptionist displayed a rude and dismissive attitude, which immediately created an unwelcome atmosphere. This unprofessional behavior continued throughout my visit, leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Unclean and Uninviting Facilities The cleanliness of the facilities left much to be desired. The locker rooms and common areas felt unkempt and in need of a thorough cleaning. This lack of attention to hygiene detracted from the spa experience significantly. Unfortunately, the combination of rude staff and a subpar environment turned what was supposed to be a relaxing spa day into a frustrating and unpleasant experience. I would strongly advise against visiting North Hollywood Spa and recommend seeking out alternative spas that prioritize customer service and cleanliness.

I have been going to this place for years and have probably spent hundreds of dollars as a customer BUT on my most recent visit I was told that I would not be allowed to bring my bags with me inside the facility?? All other guest were allowed to bring their bags inside. When I asked how come I couldn't bring my bags inside? I was given NO EXPLANATION! I told them I need my bags because I need medication and told them to search my bags. They would not let me inside? I plan on filing a discrimination lawsuit against this facility.. They show no loyalty to their customers whatsoever!!! I WILL NOT RETURN

I drive an hour and paid $35 just to leave 45minutes into my visit. The vibe was off, the people were standoffish it was nothing but old guys & the few young guys (I’m 27 myself) acted like they were better than me. I enjoyed the old Hollywood decorations/ movie posters but other than that between this, Slammer & flex this is the weakest of the 3. There was nothing else I enjoyed about my experience and I don’t think I’ll ever be going back.
