It was a chilly day in Sacramento, my feet and hands cold. I looked forward to my first infrared sauna and float session and my anticipation, excitement, and expectations were rewarded. Walking into the beautiful space with the moss wall, Turkish brass lights, and friendly staff, I felt at ease and welcome. I was instructed to leave my shoes in a cubby and put on a pair of clean flip-flops. I began with an infrared sauna. I was given a robe and adjustable cover-up. I plugged in my phone to the sauna and played my meditation music. I thought 30 minutes might be hard to last in the heat, but it was wonderful! My hands and feet eventually warmed up and I imagined I was in Dubai in the summer! I thought happily of all the toxins leaving my body! When my time was up, I threw on a robe (over my birthday suit) pressed the bell, and was led to my float session. No claustrophobia here! I took my pre-shower, put in my earplugs and hopped in to float in the star lit pool. The water is skin temperature and filled with thousands of pounds of Epson salts. It was lovely to float, gravity-free for an hour! After showering off again and getting dressed, I savored a tea in the front lounge. I enjoyed chatting with the attendant and watching the people pass walking their dogs. I left feeling calm and peaceful! My experience was wonderful. The staff was welcoming, the spaces clean and beautiful, the services amazing! I can't wait to return!
I experienced my first float thanks to a gift certificate I received for my birthday. I started my session with the infrared sauna which was a wonderful way to get my body relaxed and detox before the float. I was a little nervous as I wasn’t sure what to expect and thought I would be in a confined space. On the contrary—the float tank was larger than I expected and the starry and colorful lighting created a peaceful atmosphere and I was able to settle into a restful state rather quickly. I decided to turn the colorful lights off and keep the star lights on; I also opted for the soft ambient music for the entirety of my session and before I knew it I was waking up and my hour had passed. The salt felt amazing and so rejuvenating—Also, they provided all the toiletries to ensure your hair and skin were well hydrated and nourished following the session. A huge thanks to my dear friend Veronica for introducing me to this space! I’d highly recommend adding this to your self care routine ✨🤍✨
Quality relaxation 😌 Meg and her assistant were so welcoming and informative especially since it was my first time. They had tea and other thoughtful amenities (hair dryer with a diffuser to name one). My muscles usually feel sore because of my MS, but I slept like a baby after my float. The water temperature was just right as my heat tolerance isn’t that high. I loved the cleanliness. It was also great to customize between having lights/ darkness/ stars/ music. I changed it up throughout my session. It was a top tier experience and I’m already trying to plan my next visit.
Love this place. If you have never experienced a float, this place is the best ever. The facilities are clean and spacious. Please support local and women owed business here. 🙏 Want to add that the facials transcend me into a very relaxed state every time. Because estetician Veronica not only gently brings glow to my facial, but she also uses massage technique that is equivalent to an energy reboot. So unlike any facial that I have experienced before. Plus, she is intuitive for where to focus. Saha Spa is my happy place. 😊
We did a couples float, our first time doing such a thing - what an experience. Everyone there made the experience low-stress (obvious object of the whole experience) but if you're brand new to this like we were, don't be nervous - they'll make it all make sense. The experience of floating is difficult to describe - you cannot submmerge and your whole body just stays on top of the water, while you have complete darkness or just the "stars" above you or you can have light... it's great and I'd do it again.
