Hot Springs Spas by Spas Etc

Spas Etc delivered and installed our Relay hot tub four years ago with no issues. The owner, Anthony Williams, was on-site. His team was confident and even proud of the unique install. They told us clearly it could be taken out the same way and that they offered that service if we ever needed it moved. No warnings. No limitations. No mention of special equipment being required in the future. Four years later, we sold the hot tub to buyers who chose Spas Etc because of our original recommendation. Both households rearranged our entire day around the pickup and delivery. We removed fencing that normally contains multiple dogs, made arrangements for their care, drained and prepped the tub, and kept the yard open the whole day. The buyers took the full day off, removed their railing per Spas Etc’s own request, and prepared their delivery site as instructed. Spas Etc scheduled us for November 23rd from 1–4 PM. They arrived at 4:30 PM with neither the manpower nor the equipment they used originally—including the ATV they proudly showed off on social media from the first install (see photos). The lead said he remembered the job but wasn’t equipped to perform it. No service was provided. The result? Two families lost an entire day. Two households rearranged logistics, schedules, fencing, and pet care for a service Spas Etc should never have scheduled. When we called the office afterward, they refused to provide the owner’s number—only an email, which went unanswered. Later that night, the owner finally called and immediately contradicted the original installation, starting the conversation of with a “don’t you remember we almost lost that thing into the lake,” which simply wasn’t true. (Ahem, gaslighting the customer) When that didn’t stick, he shifted to “that was four years ago,” and then incorrectly blamed the buyer for “refusing a walk-through,”. We actually encouraged one to the office staff. He also doubled down by saying “I sell over 700 hundred of these a year, I don’t remember yours”. Nothing stuck because it’s just wrong. The simple truth: This job should never have been scheduled if Spas Etc was not prepared, able, or willing to perform it. Instead, two customers were inconvenienced, and two homes disrupted days before Thanksgiving. This review isn’t written out of spite—just accountability. Good business requires honesty, preparation, and follow-through. Those standards weren’t met. I do recommend Hot Tub Movers and you can read that review in their section.
The superb quality of the product, the courtesy and convenience of the showroom at Spas Etc., and the efficiency of the installation team were what stood out the most to my wife and me. We bought the Vanguard model and we absolutely love it! I'd like to mention a few of the folks on the team with whom we interacted. Lily addressed our myriad of questions we had during the whole purchase, storage, and delivery process. She also walked us through which model might be best for us based on her own lengthy experience and time with the company. Some months later, when our enclosure was finally ready for the spa, Kyle and Peyton were expert installers and had it done and running in just a couple of hours. They both seemed pleased to know that Bill, the owner of Electric Plus, had installed the electrical subpanel, circuit breakers, and all associated wiring before their arrival and in accordance with exacting specifications. Their two companies have a lengthy and positive rapport. I would personally recommend all who were involved for anyone considering purchasing a Hot Springs spa. I'd also like to mention that everything passed all aspects of the county's inspection process with ZERO discrepancies! They are doing things right! Thank you all for your courtesy, professionalism, and product knowledge.
Absolutely amazing experience working with Matthew and his team! From the moment I walked in, I could tell they really care about their customers. Matthew was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole process of choosing the perfect hot tub simple and stress-free. The showroom was spotless, the selection was great, and Matthew went above and beyond to answer every question I had. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does and it really shows in the quality of service. If you’re looking for a hot tub and want top-notch customer care, this is the place to go. Highly recommend Matthew!
I have owned a Hot Sorings Spa since 1988. It has been serviced a few times and maybe the light replaced but for 37 years it has been perfection!!! It still looks fabulous. I called my local dealer today to ask a question about chemicals. I spoke to a very knowledgeable and helpful young man named Matt and he answered all my questions and took so much time with me. I have never had a problem with service, even though I can count on one hand the number of times I have had to call! Also the spa is never turned off and it adds only Pennie’s to my electric bill!!!
I recently purchased a Spa with a salt water system in it from Hot Springs. My sales consultant was Matt and he has gone above and beyond during the purchasing process and even after. He is educated on the products, helpful and kind. I looked at many other Spa places and I was most impressed with this one. I have been in sales a very long time and Matt is truly one of the best with very high level of honesty and integrity. I would recommend this company to any of my family and friends interested in a spa.
