Spa by JW

My husband and I treated our sister, Juliana, to her first spa experience in celebration of earning stellar marks during her first semester at The University of South Florida. We started with lunch at The Deep End, which never disappoints. It’s views and food are worth a visit. We enjoyed the wings, salad, lamb burger and salmon—all of which were delicious. Olivia, our server, was helpful in making selections, attentive and joyful. After a leisurely lunch, we proceeded to the Spa by JW, where spa director, Miranda Hill, and her spa attendants greeted us warming and took incredible care of us. Alaney was the esthetician who provided Juliana with her first facial and Magdalena was the therapist that provided my massage. Both were attentive, accommodating and skilled. After our services, we were escorted to the lounge where chocolate covered strawberries were waiting for us with a note of congratulations for Juliana. We had an amazing time enjoying the spa amenities, including the aromatherapy shower, steam room, sauna and beauty station. Juliana said this was one of her top five life experiences. We are grateful for Miranda, Alaney, Magdalena and all the staff at the spa for your hospitality and care. A stay or visit at the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa is a luxury experience, especially when it includes spa services. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!

The Spa was excellent. Booked the appointment online and was quoted a price without the tip. Everything was great until I checked out and the lady in the front desk said they had to add a service charge of 80.00 for her and her front desk partner besides the 30 tip for the massage. I do not mind tipping for great service but no customer should ever be surprised with a 80.00 service fee at the end without prior consent or at least being well informed before booking. In my opinion this was very underhanded, deceitful and unfair to any customer. They would have had a regular customer on a routine basis but they definitely lost one for good and I will share this information with as many people as possible. It is a rip off and very underhanded. I would not recommend this Spa to anyone unless they stop this type of underhanded surprise charges. Go to a Spa that offers great service with honesty and dignity not this deceitful approach which is very similar to stealing. This was unacceptable and dishonest. I will be notifying the corporate office about this rip off.

More than just the spa shower is an experience at JW. Your time at the JW spa will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed. Juliana and Amanda at the front desk were warm and welcoming. As soon as we arrived at the JW Marriott the service was exceptional. Valet promptly handled the car and we were directed through the lobby to the elevators to get to the spa on the 7th floor. Everything from booking online, to parking, to the customer service was AMAZING. I am a lifetime JW Spa advocate now. A group of me and 4 ladies were in town for my Bachelorette weekend, and spa manager Miranda and her staff made our time with JW like no other! A few of us really enjoyed our bespoke massages with the scalp oil massage or heated stone enhancement, while others got the bespoke facial. Everyone’s service was amazing. We wish we could’ve spent all day getting pampered at JW’s Clearwater Spa! Go in early and enjoy the benefits of the steam room and sauna. Thank you JW Marriott for the best spa trip a bachelorette could ask for!!

Price of a basic facial is not reasonable at all. We paid over $400US ( approx. $600 CDN) for my mother and law and I to have a 50 min face massage, not an actual “detoxifying facial” as advertised. It was relaxing but not what we expected for the price and not even a full hour. We’ve attended other spas in the area so we expected something comparable , if not better, given the cost and venue. The staff however were very pleasant and professional. And the space is beautiful. If you’re looking for a proper basic facial at a decent price I would not recommend going here.

I've visited spas in several countries and my recent experience at the JW Clearwater is by far one of the best! I was treated to the Purify and Renew Body Exfoliation & Massage by Limah. She was masterful in her technique and knowledgeable about products. Limah used the perfect amount of pressure and catered to my requests, making my massage truly bespoke. I felt like a queen and left temsion free and rejuvenated. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
