Let's just say this was a wild and untamed area. It may have been the time I visited (Saturday afternoon) but the place had trash overflowing and blowing across the beach. Parking was a nightmare and the audience was less than friendly, courteous or respectful. The beach itself is quite thin with having driving lanes and the hotel/Park walls backing up to the beach and also. During high tide there is very little space. Best to find a different beach if youTr looking for a little space and tranquility.

Nice wide beach area with good parking. You have to walk quite a ways to the main part of the boardwalk, but it's a quiet area to just enjoy the beach and waves. Update 10/24/2023: The tide was down today. Much more beach exposed. The damage along the edge of the park on the hill has still not been repared, so the big chain link fence remains. There are several covered tables to sit. Changing station/restrooms clean and spacious. Adequate parking. Will visit again. Recommend.

This is a great place to park for some time at the beach with kids. There are plenty large (and clean!!) bathroom to change in. There is a small play area for kids, and just a short walk to the beach front. It’s far from a lot of the activity at Daytona beach, so it’s less busy, but easy for bringing kids. They also have a wash station to help get off all the sand.

Free parking, restrooms and showers, and covered picnic tables are some of the amenities you'll find here. There's even a splash pad and playground area for the little ones. Parts of the park sustained hurricane damage and are still closed off though, but overall it's still a great place to access the beach in Daytona.

Bloody Awesome experience. We visited quite a few different locations this year for vacation. Free parking and lots to do. Shirt and ice cream stores side by side were perfection in the heat. Even saw a guy with a shark he had caught before he put him back.
