First impressions are everything to me, and if I’m patronizing a business there are certain standards I expect. With that being said, from the moment I walked into MassageLuxe, I was impressed. Both ladies at the front desk had smiles on their faces and immediately greeted me. The aromatherapy, ambiance and overall aesthetic is very pleasing and perfect for relaxation! I made a point to be early since it was my first time and the front desk receptionist offered the Hydroluxe which was an awesome experience and wonderful prelude to my massage. Next, I was lead to the lounge and offered tea and water, this space is also designed with serenity in mind. My therapist came to get me soon after and explained everything and asked if there were any specific areas that needed more attention. She also made sure to ask what intensity I preferred. The massage was pretty good, not the best I’ve had, but decent. I did feel somewhat relaxed afterwards.I understand everyone has different techniques and I was coming from a therapist that I had seen for years, who was very familiar with my body and knew exactly what I liked, so I wasn’t going to let that deter from returning. I can always request someone else. The only other thing was there was a very loud conversation going on in the next room which was a little distracting, but I think it may have been another customer and not a staff member. Upon check out they asked me how everything was and told me about the different membership levels as well as the current specials. I signed up and am looking forward to my next visit.

I enjoyed my time here for the most part but after the first couple of times my preferred masseuse had a schedule change (completely fine) the next masseuse I had was pretty good so I decided to schedule with him again only for a few days to go by and be told that they no longer worked there. So again, another masseuse change….the day of my last appointment I was already there actually about to walk in and received a call about the new masseuse being sick and them having to cancel my appointment and not be able to reschedule that same day. I was so irritated I didn’t even answer the call and just listened to the voicemail and went back home. This was my last appointment because I requested my membership to be cancelled prior to this session. I received a call for a reschedule that day (time as my appt) and haven’t heard anything else. Just for me to wake up this morning and see they attempted to charge my card for the membership again that I already requested to be cancelled. So not only did I pay for my membership for last month and never received my final massage, my account is still being charged after I requested it to be cancelled. The constant masseuse changes and the last minute call to reschedule the day of my last appointment left a not so pleasant impression and now my card is being charged when I requested it to be cancelled last month…..again not making this a pleasant experience for me.

I visited MassageLuXe a few weeks ago for a massage and facial, and that experience went great. While I was there, I noticed they offered additional services, so I scheduled a Brazilian wax for the following week. Unfortunately, that experience was very disappointing. My appointment was at 6:00 PM, but I wasn’t taken back until 6:25 PM. When the esthetician came to get me, she didn’t know what service I was scheduled for and initially thought I was there for a facial. She then had to step out to grab her utensils and supplies since she wasn’t prepared, and during that time she dropped the wax on her own hand. During the actual waxing service, the wax was extremely hot. I repeatedly mentioned that it felt too hot, but my concerns were ignored. At one point while applying the wax, she got wax all over my nails. To make matters worse, someone stepped into the room during my wax to grab something, which made me feel very uncomfortable and showed a lack of privacy and professionalism. The entire experience felt unorganized and unprofessional, and it seemed like she was unsure of what she was doing. I noticed immediately that my skin was very irritated, but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. However, about a week later, I developed bumps, which has never happened to me before. I’ve had multiple Brazilian waxes in the past, and they have never been anything like this experience

This place is very professional, quiet, comfortable, relaxing and the massages are epic. This membership was gifted to me by my daughter and I so appreciate how they worked with her. My daughter lives in Hollywood California and they took care of everything via the phone. I requested a guy for my massage and I got Terrence. He was amazing on every pressure point level. He listened and understood exactly what I needed and he was great. I am going to continue my membership because the greeting from the ladies as soon as you walk in sets the tone for the rest of your experience and this place is a Whole Entire VIBE and I love that. ❤️

I'm in town for the weekend and visited this location. I found it clean, professional and the entire staff was friendly and accommodating. I truly felt comfortable as I walked in the door. I came in due to lower back pain and a calf strain. I got the CBD add on and man she did me right. OverallI I was so pleased with the experience, I went back the next day. Christina the General Manager was present and attentive, ensuring everyone was comfortable and satisfied. Well done Massage Luxe McDonough!!!!
