Smyrna Market Village

Dogs should not be allowed at the outdoor festivals and venues. I left my two at home last Sunday but couldn't help notice some pet parents struggling to keep their pets away from other pets. There is no way to guarantee one dog is going to get along with every other dog and with so many parents and children present, someone could get hurt. Another pet had "the runs" on the sidewalk steps from vendor displays and a potty bag couldn't clean that up. Very unsanitary.

Smyrna Handmade Market is a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon supporting local and minority owned businesses. Sundays from 11am-3pm. Generally Spring till Fall. The streets are closed down for safety and lined up with “booths” of all types of vendors. From Local Honey to Indian Inspired Foods, there is something for everyone. Dogs are welcome. Come and support these hard working business owners. Highly recommended.

The place we parked was on a cute shopping street but was limited to taverns, boutique shops and housing units. However, if it was warmer we could have walked to other nearby streets to see what else was around. We at lunch at Adkins Park Tavern. I highly recommend stopping in for great food and friendly staff. Do yourself a flavor and order the fried green tomatoes and Philly cheesesteak meatloaf.

Went here for a city hunt with my coworkers, the environment is clean and lovely. The day we went was before a festival so we couldnt shop at the stands that were being set up but it was still fun. Very spacious area with some businesses around and also a good place to take kids and dogs.

They dont stay open the entire posted time. They're supposed to be open from 10am-4pm on Sundays. I drove 30 minutes and arrived there today at 2pm and the vendors were packing up and leaving, by 3pm they were all gone. They need to revamp their posted hours.
