Woodhouse Spa

I booked a reservation online for the Woodhouse Spa in Dunwoody for Sunday, November 23rd at 11:00 AM. I received a call on Saturday confirming my appointment and asking for my robe and shoe size. I arrived early at 10:55 AM, was greeted and checked in, and a young lady escorted me to the back to change in the locker room. When I opened my locker, neither my robe nor slippers were inside. She then moved me to another locker that had been prepared for a different guest, and handed me my robe and slippers. This left me confused, as I assumed my original locker would have already been set up since they’d confirmed my appointment the day before. After changing, I waited in the relaxation room with tea, water and light refreshments until my massage therapist came to get me for my massage. My session was scheduled for 50 minutes. Chloe instructed me to undress and said she would knock before entering but she was gone for several minutes. When she finally returned, she did not knock and simply walked in, explaining that she had to use the bathroom. While the massage itself was very good and she focused on the areas where I had the most tension, she did not make up the time. My session ended on time even though it did not start on time. After the massage, Chloe stepped out and told me to take my time getting dressed. As I was tying my robe in front of the mirror, she opened the door again without knocking it startle me. I was caught off guard because there was no privacy, and her demeanor in that moment felt abrupt and uncomfortable. When I went to check out, I stood at the counter while two ladies carried on their conversation as if I wasn’t standing there. Another employee who was finishing up with a customer eventually checked me out and asked how my service was. Despite the issues, I still left a tip because the actual massage was good. However, what happened next was the most disappointing part of my visit: a Caucasian couple walked up, and the two women who ignored me instantly stopped their conversation, greeted them enthusiastically, and assisted them right away. That was extremely off-putting. All guests should receive the same level of acknowledgment and respect, regardless of skin color. I’ve been to Woodhouse before and have never had an experience like this, which is why this visit was so disappointing. The Dunwoody location needs to improve on preparation, communication, respecting guest privacy, and providing consistent customer service to everyone who walks through the door.

Disappointing… I booked a hot stone massage at this spa, knowing in advance that it didn’t offer some of the amenities at other locations (like a sauna). That I was okay with. What I didn’t expect was how bad the actual massage would be. The massage felt dry and uncomfortable almost the entire time. The therapist’s hands and stones dragged across my skin, and there was barely any glide. It honestly felt like I was wearing a denim bodysuit and someone was trying to massage over it. I asked him to use more oil, but he explained that they use a cream instead and that it absorbs quickly. He did attempt to apply more after I asked, but by the next round of stones, it was back to the same dry, rough sensation. Ugh! The worst. I left feeling more tense than when I arrived. To make matters worse, this was a Mother’s Day gift from my kids. I hate that their thoughtful gesture ended in such a disappointing experience. The space is nice enough, but the massage itself missed the mark completely!

Not only was this my first visit at Woodhouse Spa but my very first massage as well. I was greeted by 3 young ladies who were welcoming. I was given a brief tour and waited in the quiet room which had water/tea & snacks. I have to note the changing area was super clean and smelled nice. Cristy was absolutely amazing! She was sure to ask about medical concerns or focus points. She made me feel extremely comfortable and the massage was great. I never knew what I was missing! Cristy was not rough and did not apply too much pressure. Everything was perfect. I’m not sure if there were any additional amenities to enjoy as I was only shown the quiet room but I would have loved to enjoy a sauna or hot tub however if they had these amenities I was not shown then so I will ask next time.

She struck the perfect balance of pressure for a deeply relaxing massage and gave extra attention to the tight spots in my shoulders. Her professionalism and intuitive touch made all the difference. By the end, I felt like a new person—restored, refreshed, and completely at ease. Woodhouse Spa continues to be my go-to for self-care and serenity. Highly recommend for anyone in need of a true escape.

I absolutely love coming to Woodhouse Spa! Very clean, lots of refreshments, nice and quiet. The staff is very pleasant and attentive. I’ve been seeing Tatiana for almost a year now, and she is truly the BEST! Every visit leaves me feeling refreshed, glowing, and completely cared for. My skin looks so much better, and I get compliments all the time. I’m a total makeup girlie, but now I feel confident going without it! Tatiana’s positive spirit makes every appointment feel special — she always makes me feel loved, appreciated, and valued. Highly recommend!
