Onsen Day Spa

Went there to get a spa pedicure & manicure. They didn't ask What kind of pedicure I wanted first mistake. I brought my own nail color just in case they didn't have anything that interested me, they did have the same brand and style as my Polish just not the color. But while applying my color I realize they had the textured Polish But didn't have training on the application and didn't bothering reading the simple instructions, 2nd mistake. So I had to explain step by step. As soon as the Lady finished applying the Polish to my hands she said "pay now" I've never paid before I was completely finished being serviced, third mistake. Then I realized I was the only person they did that to, it was three other people being serviced at the same time and they weren't asked Until they where on the way out the door. Then my girlfriend I was with pointed out that I was the only woman of color there. Sad and true to say that had to be one of the reasons for the awful treatment. Also before my toes Were done drying the man Who seemed to be the boss comes over to put my sandals on, messes up my Polish and blames me for telling him the instructions for the Polish that no one on this "business" took the time to read! Unbelievable. So five mins after reapplying my Polish that he messed up he comes back over to me tells me "I'm done and I can leave!" By far the worst customer service I've ever had! Won't be returning.
I almost hate to write this review as we want to keep this little spa secret to ourselves :) !!! My girl took me here for an early Father's Day spa gift and it was wonderful- It was $139 for a 60 min massage, a mani/ pedi, and a 60 min facial. The mani/ pedi was fast and basic, but I'm a guy, so that's not surprising. My fiancé liked the job they did on her nails, but wished they spent a bit more time- She had someone doing her nails while she was in the pedicure chair and found that to be not very relaxing. The massage was decent, we liked the couples room and the hot stones. But the absolute BEST PART is their absolute GEM of an aesthetician (Marcy). Both of our facials were the most relaxing, amazing 60 minutes we've ever had in a spa! We've had facials with many of the "big name" spas in the area and this was- by far- the best one ever. Our faces are still soft and glowing. We both can actually see the difference in our skin, which is something neither of us has seen in any of our previous facials from other spas. We can't wait to go back for another in a few weeks! So, all in all, it's a great value, clean salon, and all of the employees were kind and careful.
I had a microdermabrasion facial here in preparation for my wedding. The aesthetician Marzena was great. I had never gotten a facial before so she walked me through the entire process and what I should expect. She knew it was for my wedding so I really felt like she took her time to make sure that I was happy with the results. She was also kind enough to give me addition skincare tips so I could maintain the results as long as possible. The whole process took a bit longer that I expected but my skin felt super soft and dewy so I felt it was worth it. I really knew what great a job they did when the day of the wedding, a few weeks after I got the facial, when my makeup artist asked if I had any treatments done because I was glowing. Make sure to get your facials here...they are definitely worth it.
I arrived for my 9:30 appointment and Tanya was ready and waiting for me with a warm and relaxed welcome (... how often does that happen?) The pedi was amazing: I've never had my callouses so easily removed. Tanya deftly and gently transformed my rather neglected hands and feet into what I imagine might belong to a 'lady' who neither does the dishes or walks barefoot! Ohh...I can't wait to come to her pampering hands again.😊
I feel like more people need to know about what a great spa this is. I have had several top notch massages here. I loved it so much I bought my mom gift certificates for massages so she can relive some of her body stress. They do mani- pedis also. They took great care of my dad’s feet in the last weeks of his life when he needed extra special care.
