Saw Wee Kee Park
Wildlife park with water activities, plus multi-use trails for BMX biking, horseback riding & more.
I'm giving it a 5 star because there's not much around here like this. I met the guys who volunteer and make these trails happen when I first started riding. One guy even gave me a helmet that I have to this day. Super awesome people. I am in by no means considered in-shape, but I ride hard. The trails have such a rollercoaster build. It takes so much out of me constantly trying to get up some of the inclines. You really do need the help of an electric motor like others have said or your walking up the hill lol. I just wish there was more downhill then up. I appreciate the exposed roots on some trails and I found that the wildcat red trail has a faster pace with more downhill. I ride a hard tail 29" upgraded everything.
We have a new favorite place for family exploration! It is a nice place for the whole family to go to and casually explore. Gentle trails next to the river, a little more on the "hiking" side of trails through the forrest, and lots of variation. They allow most everything here.. leashed dogs, horses, ATVs, bicycles, hiking, fishing, canoeing/kayaking.. They have porta potties, as well as picnic tables and benches.
HARD PASS!!!! Do not come here right now if you have allergies or seasonal allergies. Do not come here if you have smaller children. Do not come here if you get lost easily! After we ran into a couple who was lost and couldn't find the exit, I new it was time to turn around and find a car. And even then it was too late and we had a hard time. This is just not for us, so good luck if you choose to come here!
Awesome natural trails, that are great for hiking or mountain biking. Pretty challenging with a lot of ups and downs and there's a lot of roots, rocks, etc. so you have to watch your footing. There's great views of the Fox River and surrounding woods. The trails were perfectly maintained and well-marked.
Great trails. Pretty hilly and steep so kids under 3 will be a challenge. Great for mountain biking. Best part is, all paths are marked and color coded a long the way. So many different ways to go its like a new adventure every time. There is also a spot to launch your canoe/kayak etc
