Yu's Spa

Finding a phenomenal place to get a quality massage is always hard because there is nothing more frustrating that working hard for your money and then you go get a massage and it sucks. It a double whammy waste of time and money. THANKFULLY, this is NOT the case with Yu's Spa. This place is an absolute treasure and I will go as far as to say beneficial to the health journey I am on. I have been going here for 10+ years and have had amazing masseuses like Lilly and Mary. While they have moved on, I currently schedule with a woman...I mean ANGEL named JENNY. Her massages are medicinal and while that may sound cliche, it is the truth. I work hard all week, I work hard in the gym 5 times every week and my body is in pain by the end of the week. THANKFULLY, I found Jenny 4 or 5 years ago and I have been scheduling every chance I get, when my wallet allows me to do so. You can tell Jenny is very well trained, you can tell she is always expanding her technique and eager to learn new ones and she generally cares about the experience her customers have. Always asking what can she do better. I am terrified of the day that I call there to schedule with Jenny and they tell me she no longer works there. The spa is very clean and well kept. The only thing I wish they would do is build the walls all the way to the ceiling and put doors on so that I can truly transcend into the massage coma that I lets the mind and senses unplug because sometimes there are inconsiderate customers who come in talking, forget to put their phones on silence etc. And sometimes I need to cough or blow my nose but always hesitant because I know the other customers will hear and I don't want to interrupt their experience. I am not sure why they leave the opening at top of walls and don't put actual doors on to block out other customers sounds. Maybe village code or something. I don't hold this against them, because I don't know the details and as long as Jenny is there, I will be a happy and healthy customer. The only other improvement would be the music, they used to have this awesome chill spacey relaxing trance music. The guy working there showed me once and i was called Yellow Brick Cinema. It was awesome...when I used to see Lilly and Mary before they left, I swear that music made me orbit the earth during my massage lol. The music now is very traditional Asian massage music. This place is amazing and Jenny is an angel from heaven who really cares about her work and the positive health impacts it has on her customers. I almost used a different name for her because I didn't want people to read this review and the try to schedule with her and she not be available lolol but that would not be fair to her. I pray she never leaves Yu's Spa in Palatine.

Just had my first massage. I will add photos the next time that I go! I have suffered from chronic migraines (silent and non-aura) for 20 years, no headaches but a lot of tension in my shoulder region and neck with the traditional migraine symptoms. This was the first massage in over a decade that I left feeling like she could find exactly what I needed. I am going back in 2 weeks since this is a long time chronic issue. She was able to work on me better than my physical therapists that “attempted” to help with my cervical spine tightness. I didn’t leave with pain and today I have some soreness but at times massage therapists take it as a blow to their ego if they cannot release these chronically restricted muscles in one session and aggravate them. Jenny (unsure of the spelling) was great and checked if the pressure was acceptable. I used to be a PTA, and she was able to get into the most tight areas in the shoulder blades in ways that were comfortable. My next massage will be 90 minutes and then I will be trying out their reflexology. Cupping is also offered! Booking my dad and his friends appointments here when they come and visit.

I bought 3 $50 gift cards for 3 people in my family visiting from California. Everyone said they highly appreciated the gift. They boasted about how great the service was. They couldnt stop talking about the hot rocks massage! I have personally never had a massage, but by the sound of their experiences I would like to get one here! Choose this place! Been coming here for many years whenever I receive a gift certificate. Today I went because I have a lot of tension in my shoulders and SuSu was amazing! My shoulders feel so much better. Perfect amount of pressure not too hard and not too soft. She checked in with me as well which is always appreciated. Will continue to come back !

Was really happy with the price and service we received. For $50 you get 3 choices for 60 mins, we decided on half foot reflexology and half back. You definitely have to say if you are new there because they assumed we knew the process and what to do when we got to the room.
