70's Lodge

Just got home after spending a week with family at the 70's Lodge. Twenty of us fairly easily stayed here without noticeable crowding. The owners have very creatively used 1960's & '70's design aesthetics to turn a rambling house into a comfortable vacation rental. Bedrooms are named after TV shows or characters of that era, such as "The Partridge Family," "The Brady Bunch," and "James Bond," just to name a few, and the rooms are finished with graphic elements to match the theme. A large game room provides space for several groups of people to pursue different activities and contains two large TVs, a pool table, ping-pong, air hockey, a couple video game stations, and a couple good-sized tables for dining or just doing crafts. Electrical outlets built into the central floor area eliminate the need for extension cords to plug in a laptop at one of these tables. There's also a separate "tiny house" with its own kitchen and a sleeping loft a few dozen yards behind the house. And let's not forget the 3?...4? pickleball courts just beyond that building. An swimming pool sits behind a large pole barn that provides more space for relaxation. In addition to a bar w/fridge and a couple high-top tables, the space contains yoga mats and free weights as well as a TV viewing area. There are several areas inside and outside where a person can retreat for some quiet time. A firepit on a patio off the game room provides a nice evening spot to hang out at the end of the day. BOTTOM LINE: Of the 8 or more places we've stayed during our family reunions, this is the only one several of us have said we would consider coming to stay again.

We booked the 70's Lodge for our bi-annual family reunion. Dan and his staff was very responsive from the start of the reservation until the check-out date. The check-in process was smooth (code was provided by text and email the day before). Our grandchildren love the playroom with multiple TV stations, and the pool house. We (the adults) enjoy the pool, hot tub, and 3 brand new pickleball courts. As advertised, the 70's Lodge is dated, some of the rooms are a bit tight and crampy (especially the Charlie's Angels room). Even with a large lodge with 9 BRs and 4 bathrooms, we made it work for our group of 20 (12 adults and 8 children). Dan's crew was on top of things and was very responsive to our questions and unexpected needs. We would strongly consider coming in 2027 for another round.

Just stayed at That 70's Lodge this past weekend. We had 6 families, and 25 people. There was plenty of space, and LOTS to do. The little details made the difference. Plenty of towels, multiple laundry machines to dry snowy outerwear, cleaning supplies and a stocked kitchen, extra blankets, multiple fridges, snow removal service multiple times due to heavy snow, Xbox, pool table and ping-pong, plus tons of board games all made the vacation fun! We have stayed in a lot of properties, and this one exceeded expectations. We would love to stay here again when we can use the outdoor pool!

We recently stayed for a weeklong extended family trip (18 people). In summary, the recreation facilities were outstanding (games, pool, pickle ball courts, etc.) and the hosts were professional……….. but beds were small (all fulls) and tired, linens were old, kitchen was small for a larger group, and house was lacking bathroom capacity (1 bathroom for entire downstairs - 14 beds).

Groovy time at the 70s lodge 😎 just an amazing amount of amenities here! You can soak in the indoor hot tub while the kids play arcade games and pool or go outside and splash in the huge in ground pool and outdoor hot tub! You got an indoor sauna multiple tvs crazy amount of room to sleep the whole family! (Cousins too!) Dan & Lisa are amazing hosts!
