Phenomenal Experience at Motor City Float - A Heartfelt Thank You to Petra! From the moment I made my way to Motor City Float, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Despite being five minutes late due to unforeseen circumstances, I was met with nothing but understanding and kindness. A quick courtesy call to them had me speaking with Petra, whose response was nothing less than phenomenal. She assured me that all was well, setting the tone for what was to be a wonderful visit. Upon arrival, Petra made me feel instantly welcome—as if I was stepping into a sanctuary tailored just for me. Her warmth permeated the atmosphere, making me feel at home and utterly relaxed. She meticulously explained the process, ensuring I understood everything and felt comfortable throughout my session. Petra was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly attentive, ready to answer any queries and assist whenever needed. The flotation therapy itself was a rejuvenating experience. As promised by the serene images and descriptions I had seen—much like the attached photos emphasizing stress relief and grounding—it was a session of profound relaxation and peace. The private room, devoid of all external distractions, allowed me to float in magnesium-rich Epsom salt water, perfectly heated to match body temperature. This experience helped ground me, alleviating stress and leaving me deeply rejuvenated. The impact of this single session was so significant that I opted for a three-month commitment plan to continue reaping the benefits of this remarkable therapy. The ease and tranquility provided by Motor City Float, combined with Petra’s exceptional care, have made me a staunch advocate for their services. I highly recommend Motor City Float to anyone looking to find relief from the stresses of daily life and to embrace a journey of relaxation and wellness. Petra, and the team, ensure you are in phenomenal hands—transforming each visit into a uniquely soothing experience.

I always book the 1-hour float. It's my go-to reset after a stressful week or when I'm sore from workouts. The experience is incredibly relaxing. You step into a spacious private room with a foot-deep pool of warm salt water. As you float effortlessly, gentle, soothing music plays in the background (which you can turn off using the wall controls). There's also the option to project a starry night sky on the ceiling, adding to the sense of calm. After about 10 minutes, the sensation of floating begins to transform your mind. The warm water, the silence (or soft music), and the absence of gravity create a mental stillness—like a peaceful, glassy lake. You're not thinking, you're simply being. It feels like weightlessness, presence, and peace all at once. Everything is good. When the hour ends, soft music gradually brings you back from that deep state of bliss. You step out and take a refreshing hot shower (finish with cold—it’s invigorating!). Then you move into a quiet lounge area, where you can sip on herbal tea and sink into a cozy chair. In front of you, a softly lit lamp displays two colorful octopuses swimming together—calm, playful, and completely at peace. Just like you. Staff is always casual and nice. I love the quiet atmosphere...

Would not have imagined having a less than fantastic float, yet by far, this is the last place I'll ever go to again. Walked in and got the slippers on, informed the attendant that I've been floating for years, she starts in on her spiel to put the slippers on... later asked again to forego the instructions, she had a tone saying let me do my job and then got smart with 'do you have any questions'. So whatever with her, but the temp variance was jarring getting out of the pod and the shower took long enough to get warm that it was annoying. Looking at the room, it seems they cut corners when they were made cause I could also hear a low hum during the float. Otherwise, it topped off a lousy trip to this city that I hope never to return to.

I come here every week for floating tank therapy. it's been very relaxing and therapeutic. you can make appointments online. Wednesdays they have 45$ floats. I love their relaxing room once you're done with your session. they offer water and tea. there's sketching books and coloring books. I love it. the rooms are very clean. they offer a shared room to blow dry your hair, there's a bunch of lotions and hair products. there are 2 bathrooms, you are offered ear plugs, towel, bathrobe, ear swabs. my only complaint is that the tank is quite small and with shallow water. I keep bumpinginto the walls and it takes time to find the sweet spot, also that the music isn't blasting in my ears or I feel the vibrations.

I've never done a float before. At only $40 this is an absolute must try. The place itself is incredibly atmospheric, clean, and well run. 10/10. They are full service- you can go in truly bringing absolutely nothing. They even provide hair products and some wonderful tea! The staff(owner?) is incredibly sweet, and very welcoming. The float itself was a very relaxing experience. I'm very glad I tried it, and recommend to everyone to try it at least once. This is one of those things you may love or hate, but probably more people will enjoy it if nothing else
