The Cascades

My boyfriend and I were looking for something to do one night and decided to go check the light show out at the Cascades , we walked up the several flights to the top and it was pretty cool we went almost near closing like maybe and hour before and there was no one there , if you could put in a request for music it would be an awesome place to propose to someone at the top with the fountains and lights going , they played music but it wasn’t really my thing but I hear they have different theme nights

Very pretty. Attended a wedding here, it was very beautiful. Chairs will be hot if it’s summer time and sunny so bring a towel to sit on. The water park attached to the area was corded off so we didn’t have random people walking around the ceremony. The parks attached are very pretty as well. All in all very clean organized place to go. Being from Texas this place was a very nice change.

The "waterfalls" aren't particularly interesting. There are separate hours for the splash pad that are not listed online, so it was closed when we arrived. The person working the gate wanted us to pay $5/ person when 2 were obviously young children, didn't give us the child admission price until I specifically asked. In all, not worth $15 admission, $6 for ice cream treats.

Cool place with interesting history. It's relaxing to spend an hour or two walking around. The light show is somewhat underwhelming, it's always Christmas music even during the summer. Being the only tourist attraction in Jackson if you're in the area this is a good place to visit in the evening. Check the calendar online before you go!

So many memories here as a child and now I take my children. Family nights on Wednesday and fireworks on the holidays. Walk up the staircase, enjoy live music, snack bar, and amazing fireworks show. The park itself is also beautiful with walking trails, parks, splash pad, ice cream stand and more...
