The family options for everyone are upstairs and men only down stairs with no inhibitions expected. The hosts are always friendly and professional. The In and Out option lets you leave and spend a little time at a nearby casino or bar. I drive up from West Central Wisconsin, about 3 hour drive to enjoy this place. Facility is old but clean. The downstairs bullpen once had a Saturday night stay over and it was great with other free wheeling patrons. Could drink a few beers, and relax, rest or snooze for a few hours before driving home. I've reduced my In/Oct activity to no beer now. Wish the stay over would return 'cause I take the trip less often now. More people seems to be there in the early afternoon (maybe they're taking a longer lunch hour or leaving work early?) There are slow times but you'll meet patrons throughout the day up to 9 or so in the evening. There always seems to be a diverse assortment of people. I've met students, elders, Canadians, seafarers, & others from overseas; farmers, and business people too all enjoying this facility. I've met people driving up from Minneapolis too. Taking a hot sauna and cold after-shower at slow times gives an opportunity to relax on beds in the rooms. I will return again, maybe even this week or soon

I Drove 4&1/2 hours up from Madison to check out this place & the Mens Only Basement & It was well worth the Trip! it was GREAT to be in the company of MEN ONLY. Peaceful, Quiet, Warm, Alltogether a Neat Historic Experience, Took me back in Time, very relaxing, more than I expected, just what I needed. I felt like I was in Europe. I could very easily Move here just because of this, (I seriously wouldnt miss Madison one bit!) Having checked out All the midwestern cities, Duluth, Now is officially at the Top of My List! I would buy a house here because of this. seriously! I Loved everything about this place. because if yer going to live Ina Cold climate, you Need a place like this. This place makes it ALL worth it!

This place is no frills and that’s what we loved about it. Uses radiators for heart and a nob in the steam room adds water to the top of the radiator. Can take a bit for the room to warm up but they do get hot. Steam room was a cement room with 3 levels of seats. Would recommend shower slippers. Would also recommend building your own steam room if you’ve got an issue with some chipping paint or flux fur rimed lamp shades. It has got character. If a reasonable price for a steam is what you’re after this will not disappoint.

I love stopping by here after a day of hiking. Perfect way to unwind: hot steam sauna, cool off by dumping a pail of cold water on yourself, repeat to your heart's content. Building is super old but it is well maintained & CLEAN. I wish my home (Minneapolis) had such a place. Hopefully overnight stays on weekends will return one day.

A Duluth gem. Friendly, clean, affordable, and home to the most beautifully stacked towels I’ve ever seen. The private steam rooms are not fancy, but have a lot of character. The perfect way to spend a cold winter evening in Duluth. Always leave feeling happy and refreshed.
