PORTAL° Thermaculture

First time with a sauna experience like this. I’ve used saunas at some hotels, but only on rare occasions, and nothing quite as immersive (no pun intended) as this. What better way to reinvigorate yourself than with a nice sauna. I was in town and hanging out with my older son. It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We arrived first thing in the morning. There were already several other people there. After signing the waivers and giving our contact info, we got suited up to go inside the sauna area. The place is well designed, spacious, with some chill music playing. There are three saunas, hot, hotter, and a wood one outdoors. There is also a plunge pool inside. The first thing I noticed is that most people there are outwardly friendly. And you quickly realize that you are now part of the Thermoculture. People are polite, interested in your experience, and eager to help you onboard. When they suggested that a trip through the plunge pool would do me good, I was sure that was never going to happen and said so. But in the next hour, I did the sauna rotation while also including the plunge pool, walking from one end to the other. Maybe next time I will actually take the plunge and go all the way under. My one disappointment and criticism is that the wood fired sauna never got hot enough for actual use. Perhaps they need to start the fire sooner so it gets up to temperature for early morning customers. Maybe next time!
What a STUNNING building and interior design. From all the hot/cold plunges I've been to, this one is my favorite. The staff is kind and welcoming, the music and they play is fun but somehow relaxing at the same time (not too quiet or too loud...I guess you could say, it was perfect), the facilities are very clean, the sauna's are well kept and I appreciated the different temp levels you could choose. I've been here a couple of times, and will be coming back again. The only downsides is the lack of parking (the lot fills up fast), nothing the owners can control. The 2nd is a personal preference, but the cold tub is the coldest cold plunge I've ever been in. Usually I can handle it, but whatever they have the water set to at this location literally hurts my bones, so, I can't really enjoy the cold plunge part of the experience since I can only last a few seconds. Any chance ya'll can turn it up a couple of degrees? Once again, that's my personal preference for cold plunge. Very highly recommend this place, they did a beautiful job at creating a fun community space. :D
Portal is a special place. From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with warmth and friendliness that makes you feel right at home. The staff are incredibly engaging and genuinely care about your experience, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and uplifting. The vibe at Portal is unmatched—it's a serene escape that sets the tone for the rest of your day. Starting my morning here has become a life-changing ritual for me. The combination of sauna and cold plunge offers a refreshing and revitalizing experience that leaves me feeling rejuvenated and centered. If you're looking for a place to unwind, connect with yourself, or enjoy a conversation with a complete stranger, check out Portal!
What a stylish and friendly sauna club. Elegant modern design, three saunas of different temp, cold showers and a large COLD plunge pool. The staff are welcoming and pleasantly relaxed, and the facilities are new and in impeccable condition. The crowds are limited to 12 at a time, so it is never crowded. The crowd is quiet and relaxed. There are two changing rooms with warm showers, and several other changing areas. If I could increase the temp of the mandatory pre-plunge shower I would. Otherwise perfection! We did a group family event and after looking at how great we all looked afterwards I decided to join. A fun experience and maybe a healthy, enjoyable habit for you.
Had an incredible experience at this new contrast therapy club! The atmosphere is what sold me on the spot - there's lush greenery everywhere, mood lighting, and a vibe that makes it feel as though you’ve stepped into a tranquil jungle. You can tell that every detail was curated to elevate the experience. Switching between the three blazing hot saunas (both electric and wood fired options!) and the icy plunge pool made the whole experience feel therapeutic and energizing. Whether you're decompressing after a long week or kickstarting your morning, this place is a total game-changer.
