Nixa Aquatics Center
Hours are wrong on website so there’s that. Also there is no shade, so if you have little ones probably not the best place. One of the only shaded parts the cover came off and they just decided not to fix it I guess. The lifeguards are inconsistent with rules so what flies with one is not okay with the other so it’s exhausting trying to explain to a small child why they can do one thing one time and not another. And it’s more expensive than some of the other local pools. Won’t return. Republic is better with more to do and shade, plus it’s cheaper. Ozark is also the same prize with more to do as well. Nixa is lacking compared to the other two towns.
We were there for 30 minutes and then it started raining and thundering so they did not reopen the pool. I asked for a refund and the cashier suggested a rain check, I was all for it but then the head guard on duty said they were not giving them out. Essentially wasted $30 for a lot of nothing. Will not be back for a long time if ever. Very disappointed.
I was greatly amazed by the sheer number of life guards! They definitely take the safety of the pool goers seriously! The pool was great and plenty of space for the kids! They also regularly had a period for adults only to swim through our time and the price for a day ticket was very reasonable!
Big bummer! I recently moved to nixa, from California. My girls loved & enjoyed, the pool last summer when we visited. Found out, it is closed for 2023 summer - put a huge dent n summer fun! It's so humid & hot here, this should be a priority for the community and the kids.
We went for a friend's birthday party. We had never been and we all loved it. I do feel like adult swim only happens too often, they could cut out every other time, easily. There is so much to do it was fun watching my kiddos have fun. Will definitely go back
