Before we bought a hot tub with Roommates a few years ago, we had bought a used one, which was a huge mistake, but Adam would come and do his best to fix it. Therefore, when we bought a new one. We bought a good high end one from Roommates. On March 14, I sent Adam a video and sound of the pump that was dying "making a screaming sound." I did not hear back so I called the store. They put me on a his list. I called back around a month later and they said I was still on the list. Around the beginning of July I finally went in and asked if they could light a lil fire because the pump had finally broken about 2 months ago. They did and Adam came for about 10 min., was here and didn't speak to us, and left. The store called and said it was a fuse. I went to pick up the fuse and said I didn't think it was the fuse and let them listen to the recording. They said they weren't sure but try the fuse anyway. My husband looked at the pump and it was completely locked up. So, we ordered a pump from Kasten's, and they were very helpful in helping my husband install it. Of course it did not work because of the fuse and a seal. I called Roommates back and they sounded as if they were making fun of me, and I asked if I could have Adam at least come put the fuse in and help with the seal and they said he could possibly and weren't sure. Adam then said I would need to find where it goes, use a fuse tester, and replace it. Otherwise, he couldn't be here for 6 to 8 weeks. So NO I WOULD NEVER BUY from them again!!!!

Bought a pool last summer from them. Had trouble with the sand filter immediately after install. They were aware it was leaking before they even left. After multiple calls last year and then again this summer I was told I could come in on a Saturday unhook and drain the water from the old filter and a new filter would be waiting on me ready to go. So when I arrived that was not the case and I was rudely told I would have to wait they didn’t have sand that I would have to purchase to get the new filter going. And I would need to take the top off the filter and replace the sand myself. Because that wasn’t their job they were only warranting the bottom of the filter. So that would mean my pool would sit not working for 4 days because I was told to bring in the old filter. That’s when I realized there are more pool places to buy from that probably weren't as rude and were more willing to help. Although there was a guy in there that was trying to help me the best he could. Thank you sir for that, but because the lady that works there has a horrible attitude and terrible customer service I will never go back. By the way Farmers Pool and Spa was so very helpful getting my pool going again!!!

They did the site prep and installed our pool 3 years ago. Had the foam liner installed. They told us we would feel rocks but they would not poke through. Well first time we got in the pool we felt several sharp rocks. Now we can feel the rocks have torn through the pad and will eventually rip the liner. They offer no warranty and said if we had complained at the time about the poor site prep they would have sent someone with a rubber mallet to tap the rocks down. At this point they are happy to fix it for a fee. We plan on having JoCo pools come out like we should have done the first time and have the job done correctly. JoCo will pour a concrete bottom with 2 floor drains prior to installing the liner so rocks are not an issue. If you have rocky soil the foam pad is of little help. Room Mates' cut rate price does not save you in the long run when you have to replace the liner.

I would give zero stars if that were possible. Adam came out to close our pool last year and neglected to get the autumn leaves out before covering it up. He said that when he came back to open it in the spring he would clean up the leaves and use something to get the stains out. Fast forward to today (July 24th) and the pool looks like a swamp because he didn't clean it out, just took the pool cover off, collected his money, and left. He told us to put shock in it and never came back. When we took photos in to Cindy to look at, she simply said "We're not a pool cleaning company" and refused to have Adam come finish the job he started. We've now gone the entire summer without a pool and have to pay another company to get it up and running. Roommates has lost our business and I will never recommend them to anyone.

If you dont have to do business here DONT! They were supposed to refelt our pool table, said it would be 4 weeks. We went ahead and ordered felt from them and agreed to the 4 weeks. After 4 weeks they call say someones dad passed away and his daughter had a baby. It will be another 2 weeks will call in a week and schedule. Week goes by, no call. We call them, same excuses. Will call in another week. They are nothing but excuses. We had to get someone else!
