Elkhorn Hot Springs

I probably should have gone in with lower expectations paying only $75 a night to stay in the lodge room. If you’re fine with something extremely basic and dated, just looking for a small space to sleep after a soak. This will work. The room included the following: Full sized bed, chair, table, lamp, and a window. That is it. Got hit with an unpleasant smell when we opened the door to it that unfortunately lingered. Sheets were less than new looking, few small stains on them. Walls and floors are very thin. You can almost hear conversations down in the bar. Shared bathroom upstairs, not most ideal but price considering, acceptable. Pools were ok. I have my doubts about them being at their advertised temperature on this particular day. The pools at jackson or norris are for sure hotter. Not trying to bash the place. I knew it was rustic going into it but it would have been nice to have actual pictures of the rooms on their website. It makes sense why they don’t do this once you step into one of them. I will give them credit for keeping the room prices cheap after all these years. This place is not for everyone.

My family and I came up this past weekend to soak and have dinner. The pool was great, slightly crowded but still a good time. Then came dinner… Most their staff was personable friendly, and the food was amazing with huge portions. But, what I presume to be their manager, was incredibly intoxicated, her children were running rampant through the lodge, had very crude language around children, and was just extremely unprofessional in the work place. We ate as fast as we could just to get out of there. For the love of God, please be more professional!!! The owner should be ashamed of how that place is being ran. It’s a great location and has extreme potential with the right kind of management. My family has been coming here for years and never had a bad experience till now.

Absolutely beautiful scenery here. The hot pools are so lovely and relaxing! The rooms at the lodge are outdated and need some maintenance. Walls are thin, so bring earplugs. But I'm still giving this place 5 stars because the value for money is amazing! For $50, I got a room to sleep in, a full breakfast, and access to the pools as well as a towel. You can't beat that! The staff are ALL so wonderful! I interacted with 4 different staff members in my short time here and they were all friendly and accommodating! And the camaraderie in the lodge is lovely! Strangers playing games together and making new friends! Lots of laughter here! Overall, I would stay here again for sure!

I don't even know where to start with this review. You are greeted with confusion, as there are no signs. They added $50 to my $200 booked rate because I brought a 3 and 4 year old with me. The cabin greets you with a big unprofessional sign threatening to charge you for stealing if you take any of their low-end furnishings? No water anywhere around. Cow poop and cows everywhere. I would never, ever stay here again. There was dog hair on the navy blue sheets. I worried about haunta virus the entire night.

I only have stayed at the public camp ground down the road about a mile, but it's one of my favorite spots. Get there in the afternoon cook dinner and hit the hot springs. The people working are some of my favorite people. They have a great tony selection if you run out of ur own stash, but dont forget cash... This place is NOT for someone who shops at Target over Walmart is the best way I can put it.
