Rose's Plunge
My niece and I went here yesterday. We spent a couple hours and Roses plunge with the locals. We were told that the water quality is extremely good; I guess there's a place in Germany that charges thousands to dip in mineral water like what's in Hot Springs Montana. We were told that the water in Hot Springs Montana is different than it Quinn's Hot Spring, it's better. We enjoy the views of the hills and trees around us as rain and hail fall on us. There are several hot springs in Hot Springs Montana but the locals said this tub was the cleanest. The drive was beautiful.
The $ drop box is a little hard to find, but it’s a small metal box attached to the wall next to the entrance. Very warm water, like hot bath water temp. and smells strongly of sulfur. It felt good even in the heat of July. Rose’s daughter who came to close up at night told us that it opens at 5 am and it fills up by 8 am. We came a little later in the morning, and the sun shined right into the plunge, and it was too sunny to stay long. It was still nice but in the summer go early in the morning.
Love it, Rose is sweet. She has some great rules in place out of respect for the space. $5 in a honor box to relax is amazing. Met a nice lady their soaking who was respectful of chatting since hot springs are aa spiritual experience with friendliness and solitude.
I've been to a few mineral pools and this is by far my favorite. Perfect temperature, very soothing, not crowded, and spotlessly clean. I'm going to be hard pressed to find a better place.
A nice small quiet Hot Springs plunge with no bathroom and a fenced in yard with a picnic table. Cost is only$5 in an honor box. No staff on premises. Drinking alcohol is prohibited! 🙂 …
