BRC Day Spa & Sauna Resort

**updated 7/6/2025 to respond to owner*-I do fully understand the broom treatment. I stand by my statements about that general area being unclean. I will also add that the uncleanliness extended to the restroom located in the same area.- During my visit to BRC Day Spa, I had treatment appointments and explored various general area options. The spa offers two ways to visit - through appointments for treatments or by paying to use the facilities which include wet/dry saunas, a Turkish sauna, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, cold plunge, showers, resting room, and a dining area. The food was fresh and beautifully presented, but the general use areas felt somewhat lacking in cleanliness for the $60 fee. I noticed black residue near vents on the ceiling, raising concerns about mold, and the floor mats needed cleaning. Additionally, near the cold plunge, there is a sauna where you can also get a "broom massage," but the floor was strewn with broom leaves and dirty water buckets. On the flip side, the treatment areas accessed through appointments were clean and pristine, contrasting sharply with the general areas. However, I felt rushed during my appointment, as the spa staff tried to stick to their schedule. I hope they can allocate more time between appointments for a more relaxed experience in the future. The resting room, touted as a quiet space, was not actually peaceful due to residual noise that drowned out the relaxing music being played. I gave the spa 2 stars, appreciating the friendly staff in the general area who aimed to make guests' stays as pleasant as possible and the assortment of treatments and options available in the general use areas.

I took my mom here for a much needed rest and relaxation day, it exceeded our expectations! The hot stone massage was fantastic and the price was fair. You definitely get your moneys worth! The admission covered the awesome pool, jacuzzi, the Turkish steam room, the aroma sauna, wet sauna (my personal favorite), dry sauna, relaxation room, cold plunge and I’m sure I’m missing things. The atmosphere was very relaxing, the food smelt AMAZING! We wouldn’t have eaten before if we realized the food was going to look that good. I have to say i was most surprised by the wet sauna experience.. I’ve never done anything like that before but everyone there was very friendly and showed us the ropes. I will definitely be back even JUST for the wet sauna. It must be noted that the receptionist did an amazing job of showing us everything and paving the way for our fantastic experience. She was so informative and helpful we would’ve been a bit lost (literally) without her!! We will definitely be back and frequently, as the pricing is fair enough that would allow frequent visits. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable and quickly eased our tension and our minds in this new experience and environment. Thank you so much for such a pleasant experience!!! We can’t wait to try different services on our next visit, we are already planning it!

BRC Spa is definitely a must-visit if you need a relaxing day with family or friends. From the moment you walk in, you are warmly greeted by the friendly receptionist, who provides you with a plastic bag to store your phone and wallet in secure lockboxes. The locker rooms are spacious and spotless, offering unlimited amount of clean towels, showers, and bathrooms. Upon exiting the locker room, you step into the tranquil spa area. Here, a waiter welcomes you, or you can stop by the bar to browse a menu before settling down with friends. The spa features a cold bath for an invigorating plunge, a luxurious jacuzzi, and a stunningly large pool. A variety of excellent steam rooms are available, and there's a cozy rest room perfect for taking a nap. The food at BRC Spa is consistently fresh and delicious, and there's a lovely outdoor seating area where you can unwind. I love everything about this place and make the trip all the way from Brooklyn to enjoy it. I didn't take many pictures because I was too busy relaxing, but I'll be sure to capture more on my next visit. Thank you to BRC Spa for everything you are ❤️

Hidden gem of Fairlawn! Being married to a Ukrainian man, I’ve been introduced to the wonders of a Russian banya. We used to go to Spa 88 in Manhattan but haven’t been able to find something similar since moving to New Jersey. I happened to pass by this place the other week and wish I would have done so sooner. BRC is a no frills bath house with a very relaxed atmosphere. They offer 3 types of saunas, steam room, cold plunge, lap pool, and jacuzzi. They offer your typically Eastern European food, a variety of salty fish, fresh juices, beer, and an extensive list of teas. While we didn’t partake, it seems like you can bring your own alcohol for a reasonable corking price. The one thing I’d note is that children are allowed. However, they seemed to stay in the pool and weren’t running around unchaperoned. While this didn’t bother me, it may be a problem for others. In that case, this place isn’t for you and should be left to be enjoyed by others.

Had the displeasure of visiting this establishment recently, having completely forgotten about the last time I was here when I was 12 years old (I’m 36 now). Stepping inside jogged my memory right away because absolutely nothing has changed in over 20 years - the place looks and feels like it hasn’t been updated or cleaned properly all this time. It’s overcrowded, unventilated, reeking of chlorine to the point that it stings all your sinuses (which means the water is filthy) and has an overwhelming atmosphere of ick. We went to all the saunas, skipped the jacuzzi, and we did not end up eating anything there because we head other people complain that it was taking over an hour for food to be served. I was dumbfounded to discover a place with such standards is still operational in New Jersey, but I guess you can get away with anything now when there’s no competition in the area. Lesson learned - I’d rather take a longer drive to a better banya.
