The Spring

I went to The Spring a few weeks ago and had a lovely experience. This past Saturday night I returned to get dessert and drinks with my husband. We showed up just before 9:30 and I noticed that outdoor seating was almost entirely empty (besides one couple). When we went up to the front, we asked if we could order dessert and drinks at a table. The hostess politely said that she'd check with the manager. I saw the manager look over at us and heard him say "bar service only" to her before walking away. The hostess sheepishly returned and said they could only accommodate us at the bar -- which looked packed and uncomfortable, so we left. On a night where almost every table was open, it seemed like a tacky and cold response, especially to give without any explanation from the manager himself. I tried to reach out to the Spring, but there is no email on their website and they do not reply to Instagram DMs. Overall, really bummed out and was so excited to have a new place in town that I had hoped would be both hospitable and serve great food.

Do yourself a favor and visit this incredible oasis in Tenafly, NJ. The Spring has a cleansing energy the moment you step in. The whole environment here is positive, inviting and relaxing.
