Walters Park
We grew up here and now our gr.child had fun in the sunshine even though it was chilly. I have always loved Walter's Park n worked the snack bar as a teen. Lots of fun then n I'm pretty sure the kids today have no idea the memories made at the pool n in the park back in the 70's due to the changes made. I understand it's machines now and pretty much everything is no longer done w the personal touch. Having your requested song played n to hear it on the other side of the bridge was a thrill as was paging your family or friends names for the fun of it. Haha
It's an amazing park. The view from up high on the hill is amazing. Haven't been to the park in years since I lived in Phillipsburg as a kid. Idk if it's still nice but from my memories as a child it was the best park in the town. I wish they still had the same park equipment I grew up on but I understand they made it more modern for the new generations of kids. So hopefully people respect the park and the nature around it and I'm sure it will still be a wonderful area for everyone.
The staff at the pool including the manager were absolutely wonderful for our party of 20. We were not only highly accommodated in setting up but we were warmly welcomed and the staff even came over to lead in the "happy birthday" song for our daughter. We will be back for more birthdays and family outings. Thank you so much!
Great local park has 2 different sizes playgrounds to accommodate all ages. Large pavilion and ball fields that are available to rent via the towns website. Newly renovated pool is now open and extremely affordable for dail6ly visits or season passes.
Nice park! I have lived in phillipsburg for a few years and just found it maybe a year or 2 ago. Clean from what I saw, also seen they have a community pool, nice place to take your kids! Also have community days that are good for the kids.
