Spavia is a good commercial spa. Slightly above a massage envy but not much. I have been twice and had 2 good massage therapist but the overall experience is where things falter slightly. Walking into very small lobby overrun with products (charisma’s candela, spa bags, scarfs, lotions…no homogenous product line just product chaos). I love that you get to change into a robe and relax in lounge before your service (this is the edge it has above massage envy). Where it looses its luster is that the door to hallway is just a curtain a there is a curtain separating the men’s Lou he from the women as lounge. “Quiet please” signs are ignored so while trying to relax before/after service I get to hear people walking down the hallway talking about their predictions on the weather and the men next door discussing the football game…relaxing not so much. I’ve also gotten stuck in a crazy bottle neck trying to just pay and leave after my service in the tiny lobby as people pile in, packages are sold, people trying to leave…can be a little chaotic after a relaxing service. Final Note: the massage treatment room next to the staff lounge is just flat out bad design. All in all a solid cost effective option when you’re in a pinch and need a massage. Have never tried any other their other services.

I did not have a good experience here. But there were some good things...like the staff in person is very friendly, the zen waiting room and changing bathroom was very nice for the space they had...hot water frequently ran out or was cold though. But the vibe in the waiting room was nice. But the cons outweighed the pros to much for me to give more than 1 star. I canceled my membership and put it all on the cancelation form. But without going into detail....if you're looking to go to this spa, just make sure you get a copy of your membership form that YOU signed and review it. And the massage therapist issue I had, seems like it might be a probelm for management to solve. But for others, i recommend looking through the other reviews for massage therapist recommendations. And be sure to speak to someone that will help meet your needs if you have specific requests. If the first rep on the phone says they cant accommodate you, request to speak to someone else or go there in person. I was very uncomfortable, as a woman, during my massage. And the shady membership stuff was unsettling. I will not be back to this location.

Very unpleasant experience. I bought a spa package for my wife as a push gift expecting her to have a nice relaxing experience. Everything was wrong and management refused to return my calls to make it right. For starters, my wife left a tip for the staff, yet they charged my card another tip for themselves without any authorization. One of her treatments was cut short. She didn't a her snack (included in the package) between treatments and was left hungry for hours as a result. Lastly, my wife complained about all the upselling--from the moment she walked in to the time she left. She was rudely bombarded with staff pressuring her to buy something else. Not conducive to having a relaxing spa experience. Your money is better spent elsewhere. I'll everyone I can about how crumby this place treated my wife.

This place has consistently been one of the best places in Charlotte to get a massage. I love the aesthetics! They greet you with a smile, walk you to the bathroom area where you’ll get a locker, robe, and, slippers. Don’t be afraid to speak up if the slippers don’t fit- they have plenty! They have hand scrubs at the sink as well as showers. They have tranquility room- incredibly peaceful. You’ll sit there before your appointment and can relax there after! The only thing I wish they offered would be champagne. Other than that- they have hot tea, and water! I’d 100% visit this location in strawberry hill! Visit Megan if you enjoy a deep tissue massage! Also check out memeberships! Where else can you get a facial or massage for $89/ month.

Exemplary experience for both myself & my daughter, from the time we walked in the door until the moment we left. All the little details were well thought out: ponytail holders in the bathroom, provided body wash, shampoo & conditioner in the shower & locker rooms, multiple teas to choose from, various lotion scents & music choices in our treatment rooms, we didn’t hear conversations or outside noise in the hallways while receiving our treatments… the list goes on. Not to mention the fabulous massage & facial we had. Easy check out and membership options, but no pushy sales people. Such a great experience from start to finish. It was my daughter’s first facial and she can’t wait to return. Thank you for making her day, Spavia!!
