Essential Escape Spa + Yoga

I experienced a booking error that required me to reschedule. I was informed that I would not be charged for this change; however, I was ultimately charged twice for the service. In addition, the massage duration was shorter than what I had booked, which appears to be a recurring issue based on other reviews. Unfortunately, the quality of the massage itself was also unsatisfactory and resulted in back pain. Overall, the experience felt more focused on profit than on client care. Additionally, the night before the massage, they texted my emergency contact, not myself, to move back the time of my service. I don’t think I’ll be back.

My wife and I recently had a couples massage at Essential Escape Spa + Yoga in Medina, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming, and the staff made us feel comfortable right away. Both massage therapists were excellent—professional, attentive, and really skilled at what they do. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend if you're looking for a high-quality, calming experience in the Medina area. Great spot for couples or anyone needing to unwind.

Update: A month later and we still haven’t heard anything from the email that was sent. I’ve never had a massage that actually made my back pain worse. My boyfriend even paid extra for time to be focused on my feet which were never touched. We tried to email them about that and no one ever responded. I’ve had more massages in my life than I can count. Most of them were medical and some of the “techniques” used I’ve never had done and causes my pain to be worse. I would never come back here.

Today, I had my second massage session with Liz, and I am extremely happy with the service she provided. Liz was very attentive and professional, taking the time to understand my specific needs and preferences. The massage itself was wonderful. Liz applied just the right amount of pressure and focused on the areas that needed attention. I left feeling fully relaxed and revitalized. I highly recommend Essential Escape Spa in Medina for anyone looking for a great massage experience.

I came here just after moving into the area and I got a massage with Kendal. She was wonderful. Her demeanor was cheerful, and super sweet! She asked me about all my preferences for scents, and pressure before we started, explained all my options and I never felt pushed to pick something I didn't want. She checked in with me during the session too, and made sure I was comfortable the entire way through. She was excellent highly recommended.
