This place is awful and safety in their pool area is clearly not of their concern. If you-ve ever been a lifeguard you know that you don't sit in a chair picking at yourself, if you have any common sense you know thats not what a lifguard should be doing. On top of that if they ever needed to make a rescue they'd be hindered by their clothes on the deck, why are they permitted sweatpants and house slippers on the pool deck? At one point there were 5 lifeguards, 4 girls 1 boy, at the chair next to the slides conversing not paying attention to the people in the pool while everyother guard chair was emptied. The lifeguards advised a parent to keep a child in a puddle jumper that was clearly too large for the child which is unsafe in every way. Not only should the pool manager/operator and facility managet be ashamed of their staff but the city of Massillon should as well.

The kids pool was very shallow. The chlorine burn, your eyes and the paint was chipping on top of that the kids were very obnoxious with the lazy river. There was an old guy trying to swim, but it’s called the lazy river for a reason and there’s a side where he could swim at, we waited three hours For a slide to open just for the lady to say a kid threw up not even even 15 minutes after it opened when nobody seen the kid throw up there was no throw up. The people seem like they didn’t wanna do their job and on top of that, they made us wait 30 minutes before we could get back into the lazy river, but they never opened the slide back up and everybody just left in the locker room, the kids were screaming at the top of their lungs was so out of control

I was here for a volleyball tournament. The space was perfect for smaller tournaments (just the right amount of courts) but it was quite crowded on and off the court. In the hallways it was difficult to not bump up against someone and once you are on the court, the court next to you was quite close. During the game balls from the other side of the gym would interfere with our game, this through the team off balance. That being said I found the view from the Rec Center gorgeous.

Came for the volleyball tournament. The facility is very clean. The only thing I didn't like the court setup. We were at court one and the bleachers where parents sat were behind the other playing court. There were no nets to catch a ball if it was missed by the player behind us. Couple of parents were hit in the back of the heads really hard. Be aware and stand somewhere else to avoid a concussion.

Price is very reasonable. I was a little misinformed about attire and spent more than I had to acquire "proper" swimwear, but that's ok. My grandson had an amazing time although the water at the splash pad was way colder than the rest of the waters. I was a little concerned that the life guards were allowing rough housing in the lazy river portion.
