I was really looking forward to this spa day with my mom, but unfortunately, I had two issues with this salon. First, I booked services for my mom and myself and I stated in the booking that we were going to be paying for the services separately so please apply the deposit to my services, and then my mom would pay hers in full the day of as we both had gift cards to apply to our respective totals. And I will say that my mom didn’t have any issues with her massage and other services which is why I am giving this salon a 3 star/neutral rating. However, she got done before me, and they apparently had applied half of the deposit to her services (and her not knowing I paid a deposit a month prior, she thought there was a special going on or that she had received a discount of some sort). When I was completed and I tried questioning the amount I owed to the girl behind the desk because it seemed high, it apparently was confusing her because I also had two gift cards I was using. She kept saying the amount owed and the receipt would show what I paid. FINE. So I figured I would take a look at my statements and this invoice to figure it out which is where I confirmed they overcharged me/undercharged my mom; again FINE. Don't bother putting anything in the comments for them to read ahead of time, because they won't read them. The second issue I encountered was I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage. I have had them before at other salons, so I knew (or thought I knew) what to expect. This lady who took care of me was absolutely so rough, and rather than focus on my actual muscles and tissue, she kept pushing her elbow into my bones, so much so I told her that this felt a little rough, indicating that this was way too much pressure. She kept continuing, and at one point asked me “if I was crying?” I again said it was a little rough. (And I am sorry, but if you have to ask if I am crying, then you probably ARE being to forceful). Any-who, she continues to jab me every which way and I additionally make a comment to her about her nails because I could feel her one nail jabbing into my skin as well. Only on my left side, so I was pretty confident it was a jagged nail. She proceeds to lift her fingers and say ‘”I keep my nails short, see?” to which, yes they were short, however, it also was a dark room and how am I supposed to adjust my eyes to analyze to tell her which one of her nails was poking out and into my skin every motion she was making. Additionally, in the beginning confirmed with me if I wanted her to spend more time with the three areas I listed that were especially pain areas for me and I said yes. But surprise, surprise, there wasn’t any extra time focused on them. If anything, my lower back which is my biggest issue and cause of pain for me every day was actually barely touched. To what felt like an eternity of agony finally ended (so much for my relaxing 90 minute massage to work out my muscles, tissue and stress). And to add insult to injury, the next day had multiple bruises on me from the craziness and roughness of what occurred. In all the deep tissue massages I have had, I have never had bruises the next day, or days afterwards. But I will say on a positive note, she was very cognizant of having the sheet cover me and not have me exposed out in the open or to her. That was at least a plus. I originally went here because of rave reviews from a couple of friends and a family member, but unfortunately I don’t know if I personally would go back after this experience.
I had the most amazing experience at Spa Lavender! From the moment I walked in, I felt so welcomed and cared for — the atmosphere is peaceful, calming, and beautifully set up. Everyone there is incredibly kind and professional, and you can tell they truly care about your comfort and experience. A special shoutout to Cheyenne, the owner, who did my massage she was absolutely amazing! She made sure I was comfortable the whole time, and gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had. You can tell she puts her heart into her work. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. If you’re looking for a place that goes above and beyond with kindness and quality service, Spa Lavender is it. I can’t wait to come back! 💜
What an awful experience. I booked a facial and prenatal massage on my day off to relax from the stress of being pregnant. I finished my facial, which was nice. Laying in the bed waiting for my massage. THREE times they came into my room to tell me my massage therapist was "running behind" finally they came in the 4th time to tell me that they were cancelling my appointment all together and to get up and get dressed. They offered a discount to reschedule. I work full time and needed this day to myself. I am sitting outside the spa in my car writing this and crying. So incredibly unprofessional. No apologizes, no excuses. Don't bother patronizing.
Nicole was absolutely amazing! In the first 3 minutes of the 90 minute deep tissue massage, my all day tension headache was completely GONE! She focused on my exact areas of most discomfort and the pressure and movements were so relaxing. My body hasn’t felt this good in years! She is also just such a calming presence and made the experience so wonderful that I have another session booked in 3 weeks!!
Every time I visit Spa Lavender, I am always given good customer service. I came to get a Brazilian Wax and the esthetician was knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced. The price for the service was reasonable. I will continue to return to this spa-a local establishment. Update: They moved to33455 Station Road next to Heritage Coffee. This set-up is much better and prettier.
