We actually did the full Lakeshore Loop Trail from this starting point. Many of the hikers in this section were doing an out and back to the hot springs which is about 5 miles in total to the parking area. Of the full loop trail, this is the nicest section. I would recommend going an additional half mile past the springs to get a nice view from the elevated section of the trail.

This trailhead is both for the hot springs and the volcano. I didn't do the hot springs but did do the volcano viewpoint hike. It's hard, harder than Misery Ridge imo but was really nice and not even busy. Looking forward to going into the volcano itself next time

Beautiful. We did the hot springs hike. Took about 30 minutes for us to get there from the parking lot. Hot springs were not as deep as I would have liked, but it is beautiful and the water was warm.

Great hike about a 30 minute hike to the hot springs. I think it’s an moderate but on the easier side of moderate hike. There are several spots that are uneven which is why I say moderate.

Beautiful hike on shore of Lake Paulina. Be aware that there is no parking at trail head. Parking in Day Use parking, about 1/4 mile from trail head. Day use pass is required.
